  • The canteen food could have been improved.
  • The campus buildings are getting old and rusty, I mean there is a new building made and one in under construction but we definately need renovation in the old ones.

Course Curriculum Overview :

1. I personally choosed this course because I wanted to have chemistry as my main subject in my masters and PHD. But being from biology background I mean PCB, one cant get chem hons degree from DU. But if ypu opt for B.Sc life Sci you can convert it to 4 years program under the new education policy and get a chem/botany/zoology hons degree. 2. Improvement is something which is never enough yet I can suggest that rather than writting assignments or practical files we can make ppt out of them ans present it. It would be helpful in the real world i guess. 3. Each course carries 80 marks, split between internal and external assessments. For chemistry, this totals 160 marks, evenly divided between practical and theory. The exams are manageable if you attend lectures; otherwise, you might struggle. Two internal theory tests are given, with difficulty varying by teacher, plus one internal practical assessment.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are generally offered by university itself in different branches on the university site itself and some on even college website. One such internship included internship under Vice Chancelor of DU with monthly stipend of 15k.

Placement Experience :

Generally you dont have placement after B.Sc courses. But if you are keen to have one you can definately find it off campus with different professors and you can definately do jobs in corporate but yeah the placement is not that good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1st of all fees of 15k is affordable per year. But keep in mind hostel is not included. Hostel is even not available. External scolorships are available college does not offer scholorships. 2nd 2k exam fee per semester is also there so keep that in mind. 3rd their is a laptop program in which university gives you a free laptop if you want it. 4th you can claim all the student benifits out there with your college mail id or identity card from college.

Campus Life :

Every society has its own fest/competition thing every semester. A few of them have it every other semester. A few big fests every year are also organised like Priyadarshani. Other than that small fests/ farewell/ freshers/ competitions are organized here and there. There are more than 10 15 socities and all of them are working preety hard for things they want. Library is fully air conditioned, with almost new books available for your course, paired with some novels, holy books etc etc. Library also has a downside that you cant carry your own books inside especially printed materials. But we have a seperate room above library where you can do that. None the less library is good. College also offers sports and extra curricular here and there. As I said earlier a lot of societies are being run by students only which are preety good for exposure in feild you require to learn in.

Hostel Facilities :

College does not offer any hostel facilities. I know some areas if you are looking for accomodations nearby. South extension, Kotla, Mubarakpur, Laxmi Nagar, Jangpura, Lajpat, Saket, Govindpuri. You can find a lot of PG and flats in these areas. Just be careful on what you buy and what you pay dont be a fool while signing in a contract avoid it.

Admission :

Eligibility of course is fine. You have to be from PCB or PCMB bacground and appear in cuet exam. The application fees was 250rs. The application starts as soon as the results for cuet are out. You need to create a priority list which comprises of different colleges from DU with different courses available in them, after that the university will allocate you a course based on your prefrence and your marks in CUET exam. For my personal college and course I have my classmates ranging from 415 to 250 marks in cuet out of 600. Even less than 250 if you have category.

Faculty :

1. Talking about the faculty to teacher ratio for practicals, a big part of B.Sc students, we have 17 18 students per class with 1 teacher. And in theory we have 69 70 students per teacher. So I guess its normal. Well in the practicals having a smaller batch size definately helps with the learning aspect. 2. Talking about faculty's credentials not even a single teacher is less than a PHD holder and have a lot on their resume like tons of research papers and all. 3. Teachers are definately very approachable, and resourceful. I mean they definately know what they are teaching and are helpful. 4. The only con I can think of is teachers make us write a lot of practical file work and assignment but I guess thats also a blessing in disguise?

Interview Experience :

No Group discussion/ personal interview held for admission in UG in University of Delhi. But GDPI are held for some socities in college but you can clear that I guess. Process for admission is easy and simple visit csas portal for further details after cuet results.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is actually great as it helps us to prepare for the competitive exams like the cell biology, genomics and various other topics. Also, the teachers are very friendly and they teach through E-boards which is very helpful as it is easy to use. The type of exams is the semester type in every 4 months exams are conducted and the difficulty level is medium to hard.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible in the last year for placement and there is dedicated placement cell called 'pinnacle' but it offers good placement in commerce courses but very less number in science courses and definitely neglible in chemistry as students generally tend to opt for a master's degree for better opportunities in industries as well as exams such as GATE. The package ranges from 3 to 4 lakhs. There are no specifics for the company names as the data is not continuous. My plan is also to opto for a master's degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance and comprehensiveness by my course I want to become a scientist. And I have more opportunities in government examinations I chose this program because of my favorite subject. There are practical exams in this program also. They are using very effective methods by teaching faculty that was helped in understanding the material for the student. The examination conducted was average and more size, than the examination paper conducted on the given syllabus there I experienced it very well so I think this is a very beautiful journey for me.

Placement Experience:

The placements were not as great but the placement cell was working hard enough to get good placements for everyone. Placements average at about 4LPA. The vetting and everything was seamless and placement cell members were really helpful.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is very efficient as it widens opportunities for students and exposes them to various companies. The majority of students were pursued masters in various fields. Some of them were successfully selected in job categories like banking etc. The science students usually don't get placement benefits in the college. So the students have to be dependent on other sources for internships and placements. Many companies like Genpact and other visited Inside the college. Same was the case for previous batches too.

Placement Experience:

The college has an active Placement Cell. It organizes workshops, seminars and provides placement and internships in a wide range of profiles. Major placement opportunities are available to BCom students. Final semester students become eligible for campus placements. As per the stats of 2019-20, the highest package offered was 9 LPA and average package was 4.3 LPA. Major job profiles were finance, audit, sales, marketing, consultancy, HR operations etc. and 96+ companies were associated including KPMG, EY, PWC, Deloitte, Decathlon, UrbanClap, Genpact, Chegg, Wipro, FIS, Teach for India, Josh Talks, Inshorts, Careers 360 and many more. However the percentage of students getting placed is not much greater, because majority of students don't sit in campus placements and go for masters. Generally, BCom graduates are offered with better profiles in big companies (KPMG, EY, Deloitte etc) I am planning to go for MCA after my graduation .

Placement Experience:

3rd-year students are eligible for placements. The highest package of 2020 was of Mc Kinsey with 8lpa and average package of SGTB Khalsa 3 to 4 LPA. The students are mostly places from commerce courses as the big fours come for them. The percentage of students getting placed is 60% and I feel, I might opt for a job after a degree which is suitable as everything is work from home for now.

I guess from 5 th semester students are eligible for campus placement and for this, there is a placement cell also being run in the college. Some of the companies that come to our college are Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Josh talks, jio , yamaha , de Shaw, and co. The highest package offered is - 19 LPA The average package offered is - 8 LPA It depends on the course you opt for, but the highest placement is for commerce and economics. ( 70%) I am planning to do MSc after my grad. And then I will pursue research.

My university was amongst top 5 universities for this score. The fees was good and above all the faculty was great. The atmosphere was good and favorable for me. I kind off liked the location which was the reason i loved it.
