Agri- An interesting course

Dislikes

  • Curfew time for girls, less campus placements.
  • Classroom studies are exhausting and my suggestion is to increase more field experience since the course is related to agriculture

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have decided to join this course by learning about the scope of Agriculture. The world cant live without food and it indicates the neverending and wide scope in the field of agriculture development and research. The curriculum will make us ready to face the real world. The teaching methods need to improve by increasing on farm experiences rather than sitting in a class

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Sem wise fee as per KAU is 7000 for the course by adding the special fee and other fees ith goes around 10000 per sem For hostel its approximately 2500 per month but it changes according to expenses. Campus placements opportunities are rarely obtained like from Federal bank, south indian banks etc.

Campus Life :

Interclass and intercollegiate arts festivals are conducted every year, and lot of other fests conducted by students unions are also there. And the college has grounds suitable for sports activities also. Clubs run by the students are also present

Hostel Facilities :

Ladies hostel There will be 5 persons per room, 1 bed, table and chair will be provided and shelves also. The food is really nice unlike other government hostels, the mess is run by students themselves so we can decide on the menu.

Admission :

Two entrance tests are there, NEET and ICAR exams. The majority Admission is based on keam rank for KAU and few seats come under ICAR. The exam is conducted every year and after allotment, we should come to college in person and complete the Admission process

Faculty :

The faculty is well-experienced and sincere. They are very supportive. Some faculty members are very strict. We can interact with our teachers anytime unless they are busy. There is a no. Of professors in each department

Placement Experience:

From the last or 8th semester, students become eligible for placement. Big agricultural companies come to take campus placements. Highest annual package is 6 to 7 lakh per annum. Me after completing the degree, gonna apply for pursuing MBA in Agriculture and enter the business line.
