I opted this college because it is affiliated to muhs and is one of the best college.
The staff here is highly qualified for the job. They have appointed 6-7 full time teachers for each subject. Unlike other colleges, they provide required material for practical work . The classrooms are air conditioned.

Dislikes

It should have more involvement in extra curriculars
The college fest should be organized more enthusiastically and college should fund more. Other colleges fest are much better.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Dentistry is a course where practical work is as or more important than the theorotical work. The good dentist is one who is skilled in the practice and also uses the application of theory. Exams are conducted in every 2-3 months in muhs pattern. Students are well prepared till the university exam as the code of conduct of college is well planned.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 612000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is offered for 1 year in the college after the final year. No stipend is provided in the college as treatment provided to the patient is completely free of cost. Plenty patients come to the hospital.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college fees are same for 5yrs. The complete cost goes upto 20-35 lakhs for the general/ Obc category students while sc/st category students have 0 rupees tution fee. Placement is not offered in the college.

Campus Life :

The college is not much involved in the extra curriculars. Very minimal options are there to participate. The facilities provided in the college are enough, can be better. Social aspects of the college are also not upto the mark.

Admission :

You have to qualify neet exam with the required cut off to take admission for bds course. My admission process was really quick. I had enough marks to get admission in this college. My name was in the first list. The admission process is not that lengthy if have all the documents ready with you.

Faculty :

Highly qualified and experienced staff. Teachers are qualified from best colleges at their time and are practicing in their own renowned clinics. There are 6-7 full time teachers appointed for each subject.

I feel its an interesting branch i get a lot of exposure to patient i learnt many things related to the oral cavity Teaching methods can be improved by introducing root canals and extraction since 3 rd year beginning and more of the patient flow also this course practice ancient methods so they nust introduce new aspects and new techniques which are used in clinics

Modern day Dental Education

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I chose this course is because I was interested in the human body anatomy and biology. Subjects like oral surgery, radiology and general medicine are my current favourites. The curriculum prepares us for real life cases by including various examples of different patients. The practical quota is such that it requires the students to attend to the patient in real life scenarios in an actual hospital. These experiences gained in the clinics during the course help in better understanding the theory part of the curriculum.

Life at GDC MUMBAI

Course Curriculum Overview:

BDS is the only degree where you start with specialization. You have a limited part to deal with but has diverse clinical cases. One can easily set up a clinic after BDS unlike MBBS . Remarks:

Positives: A healthy hassle free environment without any kind of ragging related issues. One of the safest colleges for Womens. Frequent placement drives from various of companies all over India. Leaves you with adequate knowledge about the subject with acceptable academics. Negatives: Not suitable if you want to enjoy the college life along with academics. Fee structure is not feasible for lower class people if appointed through management.
