- I liked the location of the college most. It is located in the most prime area of Mumbai.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BDS is the only degree where you start with specialization. You have a limited part to deal with but has diverse clinical cases. One can easily set up a clinic after BDS unlike MBBS . The course also has the involvement of medical subjects for first two years. Each year has two internal exams , one prelims and then a final university exam
Internships Opportunities :
The college offers one year internship in the college hospital itself . It is a part of the course . The interns get a stipend around 11000- 20000. It is subjected to increase in coming years. There are no companies which are associated with the college . The college encourages students to take up various research projects .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees Open - Around 95000 Other categories - Around 10000 EWS - Around 50000 ( Subjected to change with every batch) Hostel fees 3500 + 1500 ( deposit) per year Various scholarships from organisations like sensodyne, Colgate , IDA , Tata scholarships etc
Campus Life :
The college is located in the prime area of Mumbai.where you can roam around iconic spots.various social clubs are present.there is drama club, dance clubs.various students overhere are part of Rotaract club of GDC.rotract club of gdc carry out various activities like prom night, social camps,treasure hunt,and sports competitions
Hostel Facilities :
The most important thing is that the college and hostel are very very near which makes it better for hostelites. Localites living in Mumbai do not get access to hostel facilities . The hostel has canteen on ground floor which has breakfast lunch dinner and snacks options. The quality of food is decent. The registration for hostel takes place with the admission process itself . The staff in student section is very cooperative. Being a government college the hostel is very affordable. The rent is around 5000 per year .
Admission :
Eligibility : 12th passed Score in neet - Above 520 ( changes as per reservation) Application forms for admission are all available on the state cet cell. Details regarding fees ,course structure,date of joining are available on the college website
Faculty :
The faculty is very good with apt clinical skills and knowledge. There are enough number of teachers considering the number of students. Teachers are student oriented as they focus more on students doubts . The college has a special mentorship program which each student being appointed a mentor for his personal doubts and approach
