Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is based on CBME (Competency Based Medical Education) which is followed by the medical Colleges all over india This curriculum is being followed for the past 3 years, which is a difficult thing to get adapted for faculties, but they handle it well This curriculum is mostly clinical oriented. Exams will be conducted regularly, there will be an internal assessment test once a month of each subject. The final exam is conducted by the university.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is same as that of every other colleges in India. The course duration is for 5.5 years in which the last 1 year is an internship. There is an monthly stipend given by the government of Tamil Nadu which is variable in each state The stipend for an MBBS intern in 2024 is around 25000 per month

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As this is an government institution the fees structure is low as much possible. The anual fee for an first year MBBS student is 13600 and that for second year is 10500 . This fees structure is even low for reserved castes like SC, SCA and ST. There is a very low availability of scholarships for non scheduled castes. Here in Stanley there is a special association known as the Stanley Trust which provide a good scholarship for people who really can't offer financially.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure is really well There are various clubs including Dance, Music, Sports with various games, NCC, NSS, Rotract club, Fashion Club, Literary club, Tamil Mandram, Editorial club, RRC, etc...

Hostel Facilities :

There are seperate hostel buildings for each year in which one is a oldest building which will be reconstructed soon. Other than that all buildings are good and have a nice infrastructure. The quality and taste of food is very nice and it is the best compared to other government colleges in tamil nadu

Admission :

The admission process is through NEET examination, which is mandatory to get admission in a Medical College all over india. In tamilnadu each colleges have 85 percent of their seats for tamilnadu students and remaining 15 percent is open for all over india. Stanley Rank second in the list of government medical colleges in tamil Nadu and Stanley Medical College Medical ranking by IIRF is 34 out of 100 colleges in India in 2023 . As it is one of the top institutions the cut off required is high

Faculty :

There is an adequate amount of facilities available for each subject. Even there is more number of faculties than we required They are very knowledgeable and has eye on students well being We can approach any faculty even regarding our personal issues, they guide us in various aspects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum and competency does make me realise how fragile & at the same time how strong humans are ; which pushed me to do the course The classes and exams are put based on the competencies set uo which are not at all difficult to follow up and rather makes it easy for us to break up the topics and study effectively

The curriculum set by the mcc is very good and the college strictly follows every detail of the mcc. There are many teaching methods like normal class, small group teaching , small group discussions etc . As everyone knows MBBS has a very significant course in India and abroad so this let me choose this course.
