Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose Mechanical Engineering due to my passion for design. At IIT Indore, the courses are highly relevent and up-to-date, meeting industry standards. Subjects like solid mechanics are particulary vital in this field. Additionally, most of the subjects are accompanied by labs, offering practical insights. Exams occur twice in semester of 4 months, while quizzes are held very regularly , which make course little difficult.

Class Size : 360Course Fees : INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are various companies that come for internship . Tech companies like Google, goldman sachs, Amazon, Walmart etc come for software develpoment role. PSU's like ISRO. BHEL, GAIL, BPCL, HPCL. Companies that offer quant analist job visit campus are Quadeye, WorldQuant etc. Core companies like Texas Instrument, NVIDIA, AnalogDevices, Jaguar, Tatamoters. You should have Projects related to companies you are targeting.

Placement Experience :

Campus placements at IIT Indore are great ,except in the recession year. In recession year only 70 to 80% of students get placed. IIT Indore have a average package of 25lpa. Companies for Internship comes after 4th semester and companies for Placements comes after 6th semester. Companies like Amazon, Goldman sachs, Flipcart, Zomato and many more visit IIT Indore. Generally 90% of students who appears for placements get placed. I will appear for college placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee for Btech is 1 lakh per semester. Full remission of fees for General and OBC students whose family income is less then 1lakh per annum. Remission of 2/3 of the tuition fees for General and OBC students whose family income is in between Rs.1 lakh to 5lakh per annum. Full remission of tuition fess for SC/ST students. The complete cost of pursuing B.tech is around 12 lakh. There are state scholership like Mukyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarti Yojna, also there are Central scholership. Campus employment is good.

Campus Life :

My experience at IIT Indore is truly memorable .Studying in IIT is dream for many students and i am living it. I am very thankful to God for everything i have achieved in life. We had a Techno-Cultural fest called Fluxus, that held in the month of March. Lots of Books are available in IIT Indore library, all the books related to course are available in library. In first year we had a class in Seminar hall. Sport facilities at IIT Indore are not that good comparing to old IITs. There are clubs for all the domains .

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels at IIT Indore are one of the best Hostels among all the IITs. IIT Indore hostel have Units in which ther are 6 seperate room, comman kitchen and common area , where we can have fun with our friends and also we can do group study. Mess food is decent, although we have 3 caterers. we have to submit Hostel fees, mess fees and Tuition fees together. Hostel chargers are Rs16000 per semester

Hostel Fee : INR 32000 per year

Admission :

For getting admission into IIT's you have to clear 2 exams , one is JEE Mains that occur twice a year and if you clear the cut-off of your respective category then you can appear for JEE Advance, if you are able to clear the JEE Advance cut-off then you are all set for councelling for IITs. You can appear for JEE Advance only twice, once when you are in 12th class and second in next year. You can appear for JEE Mains 6 times in 3 consecutive years. Application form generally released in november and 1st mains held in last week of janurey. Application form fees for mains is Rs1000(for general student) and for JEE Advance fees is Rs 3200(for Boys) and Rs 1600(for girls).

Faculty :

IIT Indore has a faculty-to-student ratio of 14:1 , which is quite decent. we have good opportunities to work with professors in our intrested domain. Here most of the faculty members are well qualified and they have a good knowledge of there subject. Even if you are intrested in gaining more knowledge about the subject then you can contact the professors and ask for some work, in your vacation time. All professors share there office location in there first class itself , so student can directly approch them.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is more than average even in this bad market and recession period for every company or sector and the average package is like 6-7 LPA and companies like Deloitte, Amazon,TCS, Yash technology,47 billion technologies, etc. visit every year for the placement and highest package for last year was 14 LPA as per my knowledge and a good ratio of students were got placed. My plans after getting the degree are to pursue higher studies if I don't get placed in a good company or a suitable profile and have some startup ideas and things in mind too.

Good but not Bad

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester student can apply for internships and for placement student should be in 5th semester of his or her college life. There's very difficulties in getting placed by the company because few of the company comes to college and very fewer gets placed. So student must develop the skills on their own and apply for off campus selection. More than 8.5 cgpa for average package and more than 9 cgpa is required for a good company... I'm planning to give upsc exams after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester for the campus placements. Many of the companies visits our college like Wipro,tcs etc. As of my addmission time the highest package from our same branch is 44LPA and I think 2 peoples got that and on that time average package is of 8 LPA. My plan after getting this degree is to work over the problems of the people which can be solved with the use of technology.
