Course Curriculum Overview :

Electronics and communication engineering especially iot was field of interest for me , syllabus is bit theoretical and practical part is less as it's be and not btech , outdated syllabus for some of the subjects are topics are not easily available on internet.we have two minors at a gap of 45-50 days followed by endsem and practical

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fees is increased every year but is mostly revised due to oressu from student political party, total cost of education is less than 5 lakhs ,many scholarship are available like ews for sc/st ,single girl child ,pmms .I didn't take any campus empowerment but it's available

Campus Life :

Basically it's different for uiet (which is department of Panjab University) and main campus i.e. panjab University. Official fest are organised by different members of student council (4 in total in month of March) and then department fest organised by various departments, goonj and legacy in uiet is organised by different clubs , classrooms are decent but not comfortable, University provides good opportunity in sports and extra curricular activities of you are good enough plus we have different events and competition where only uiet students represent our team, various clubs like BPC ,star, edc, Mitra, pclub ,juggad are present and provides decent exposure .

Hostel Facilities :

2 beds +plus fan ,switch board ,study table and chairs plus almirah are available in hostel room which accomodates 2 student, quality of meal and menu depends on contractor and is generally poor, registration is tedious for first time and hostel rent and accomodation is cheap

Admission :

Jee main score is the criteria for cutoff and it's available on jac Chandigarh site after announcement of jee mains result.sc/st quota is available and bc as well ,ews is slightly different (family income<2.5 lakh-full wavier on tution fees) single girl child, border areas ,riots victim, pmms scholarship for Jammu students

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is good but most of the experienced faculties are not available for teaching, some of them are busy in research while others are busy in other department work ,most of them are well qualified and easily approachable

Other Applied Colleges

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University - [JIIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Placement Experience:

College placements are average. Many companies visit campus for providing placements offers and internship. Due to more students all can not get placement offers. But if student is good in study he/she can get placement offers easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would good ratings to the curriculum and academic syllabus provided to us does match the need of the student for further competitions and in future interviews they enhance the soft skills and communication skills of a student for the interviews and this syllabus of the subjects like maths physics etc does match the compatitive level and the level which a student of today's generation should be taught

I am in 1st year so I don't know about this quite well. But I think Chandigarh University provides us with a good opportunity for placement and the average placement is quite good. I think you will be able to set in for an interview if you are a 2nd year.

There are many companies coming for campus placements, including big-tech companies like Microsoft and Google. But, remember that Google only comes to hire call centre guys, not Software Engineers, which is what people end up assuming.
