Course Curriculum Overview :

The optional subjects were based on recent research methodology and the content of the courses were updated on a regular basis . Labs were in good condition for high level research practices also . Many teachers and students were doing projects funded by the government too

Internships Opportunities :

The department didnot offered any internship opportunity in any company but for those who want to research in physics the department provided various summer internships in various colleges of the country

Placement Experience :

There is no campus placement opportunity from the department but a student can enrol in du student placement cell and can avail some opportunities in various comapnies thats visit du. Students in my course generally go for research by giving CSIR-NET exam

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees was less compared to the other universities and iits for the same course . It cost me around 30000rs for two years of postgraduation. The institute does not have any scholarship scheme of its own but there are various state and central government sponsored scholarship that a student can avail

Campus Life :

Campus life was good for studious student . There is no club in the department of physics and astrophysics. The library was equipped with all the latest journals and the variety of books in the library was exceptional

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel seat were limited in no. and only a few could avail that. Most of the students were staying in pg's at Malkaganj and kamla market etc . But in hostel's the basic facilities were good and mess food was good

Admission :

One need to have completed graduation or student in the final year of graduation can also apply. The admission process is given by various websites like collegedunia . Admission is taken through CUET-PG entrance exam . The reservation benefits are as usual in any other college .

Faculty :

the faculty to student ratio was good and the professors were having the knowledge of theoretical as well as experimental dimensions of the subject they taught. The professors recommendation was highly respected in admission to various colleges in coutry and outside the country too

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are basically two examinations held every semester. Mid-term examination and end-semester examination. There are 4 semesters in total for this course. The level is up to the subjects. Some are difficult while some are moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum is not that light, it requires to be taken seriously throughout. Had done BSc in mathematics so automatically reflex was to pursue a master's in the same subject, that's why opted for it in the first place. But later realized we can do a lot more things with the same course apart from carrying on a Ph.D.

Remarks:

Positive thing is that faculty and department is very good. Campus is so good and clean. More importantly, in delhi to get such a beautiful campus is totally a bliss. Negitive thing is that politics is included in every thing.
