Good College

Course Curriculum Overview :

The subject matter of sociology include society, rural and urban community, social group, human behaviour in group, various cultures, races ,social stratification and various social problems in the society

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Sociology is a affordable subject because it does not require seperate tution. It is a very simple subject because it is society oriented. It is a very scoring subject. It is easily remembered if one listens carefully

Campus Life :

First one year due to Covid-19 we could not go to college and then there were online classes. But I really enjoyed other two years after covid. We also conducted surveys with the help of our respected teachers

Admission :

We did not have to take any entrance exam as we got admission based on our marks in Higher secondary exams. I did not have sociology in Higher secondary so I got addmission for having 87.3% marks in pure science

Faculty :

My experience was quite well and I have learned a lot.. Equal attention was given to every individual. You can share any kind of problem with Head of the department. All the achievements I have grabbed were all given by the faculties who showered their blessings and education on me. Without expecting anything in return you have always been a great guide to us..

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are government aided co curriculums which are not very useful or good because the classes get cancelled half of the time. I did not get to have any clasees and the computers and machines are all outdated.

Placement Experience:

Firstly, the campus not only provides us with the opportunity to get offers from India but also from abroad, we were able to start taking internships from 2nd year onwards but I started working from 1st year and it gave me practical based experience and knowledge and a lot to learn.

Placement Experience:

Students are offered placements in the final year of their course mainly. There are internships that can be taken through the course years. However, our batch wasn't given any internship/placement opportunity. After getting the degreez I pursued my master's in english from Shri Shikshayatan college in Kolkata under the University of Calcutta

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after/during the 3rd year or 5th sem. More than 200 companies offer jobs every year to students. the highest package is 40 kpm and the average is 30k pm. 60% of the students get placements. I plan on attaining a masters degree on the same after graduation.

The college is a cesspool of political drama and a tyrannical principal. Please avoid at all costs.

Remarks:

Only negetive remarks that I hate is, there has been lot of political things goes around through the entire college. Sometimes there were fight between 2 teams of other political supports. That affects the students sometimes.
