Likes
- The environment is quite friendly. There's no bullying and it's a very non toxic environment.
- The campus is average sized but it provides the basic necessities needed by a college student.
Dislikes
- There's a severe lack of extra curricular activities.
- There are no clubs where we can pursue and evolve our hobbies. Things get quite bland soon
Course Curriculum Overview :
I always liked working on and with computers since my childhood. So i always wanted to pursue a computer background course. While I don't regret my decision, there are several aspects of BCA that can be far improved. Under NEP, we have additional subjects which I don't see any logic of studying other than just it being a backup factor.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
BCA course is a little expensive compared to other courses. While I do understand being in a technology line, money is needed to provide students with the necessary study materials , the price can be dropped a little. I have no idea about other expenses since I don't do tution, but books cost the same as books from other streams so there's nothing that changes in that .
Campus Life :
Our college can greatly improve in this aspect. While our college does hold the basic functions like bihu ,farewell, freshers etc it is still lacking behind very much. Also the introduction of clubs would be a really game changer. Overall what you need as student you are provided, and thats enou6for many I guess.
Admission :
I had computer as a subject during my higher secondary classes, but it wasn't mandatory for applying to kc das. Anyone could take admission as long as you meet the criteria. The cut off did went high top the highest being above 90 and Lowest being around 80 to 79. This was a major problem since many students had applied in each and every stream in the hopes that if they don't get one stream, they can atleast get the other. This proved a really huge problem for average students and it was a really time of stress when there wasn't your name in the lists. The admission process for my college was fairly simple I can say that
Faculty :
Overall my experience with the faculty members as well as teachers was a really good experience. The office staff are really helpful, and while I can't speak anything about other streams, teachers from my stream and very helpful and are very effective in clearing any doudts that we do have . They interact with the students like a tution centre, which helps everyone learn personally.
