Professors are very nice to students and always help their students .
Professors take our opinions if there is something to be done for betterment or department and qualities in teaching if needed .

Infrastructure is very bad and the works are done very lately i.e slow process.
Sessions are very late and that results is delay of exams and result.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course and decided to study here Bcoz I m preparing for upsc and here there is no compulsory of attendence . U re free to study from urself . There is need of more improvement in course and courses are very less .For further study u have study by urself.

Class Size : 49Course Fees : INR 4200 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For economically weak students coming from low income family , for them it is good and state provide Scholarship Through e kalyan protal to them annually according to their categories. For girls the fees are less as compared to boys .

Campus Life :

No such benefits are provided as such sports and extra curricular activities. There is one digital board .No avail of library books and no annual technical festivals. No extra activities in class room and biasedness between hindi ans english medium students.

Admission :

Eligibility of course for admission in Ma is u should have completed ur Ba or any other course. The application form is available in ranchi university portal and admissions dates are not.mentioned by the university for the verifications of documents. The exams are very delayed .

Faculty :

In sociology department professor are very old and they do not take classes regular .In behalf of then scholars are appointed for taking classes and they are just 1-2 yrs seniors than us . so it does not give vibe of teacher students relationship. Talks become casuals .

The College of Studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a student of the english language. I write short stories and poems. The course i have opted for deals with the literary history of the english and the present dimensions to which it has extended. I am fascinated by the previous works of the greats and hope to learn to be as creative and innovative in my works as they were. The curriculum does not prepare you to go out to the world and start earning a living, it simply prepares for further learning and mastery of the language. The course delves too much into the past sometimes leaving off the present relevance of the subject. The curriculum could be improved by the introduction of the recent developments into the course rather than the reminiscent of the past. The exams are frequent throughout the year. The mid sems take place every other month followed by the end sems a month later. The exams are not difficult as such so long as students attend the class regularly and pay some heed to the lectures.

Nice Infrastructure with very Less Fees

Placement Experience:

Students from sem 3 become eligible for campus placements but only few ( 2-3 in a year ) companies comes for conducting placement drives, Companies like Bajaj Allianz , Tata Consultancy Services.. etc. comes here for giving placement but there package is not more than 3.5 lakhs / year. Average package offered is 2.5 - 3 lakhs per annum. Almost 5 percent students got placed After getting this masters degree I will do phd in the same subject

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I wanted to learn English for higher stud. The faculty is good and they try their best for teaching the students. The faculty ratio is 1 faculty for every 20 students. The exam are held on time and the difficulty level was moderate.
