  • 1.5 hours of class because the attention span is very less for humans

Course Curriculum Overview :

I think the course curriculum at MDI is quite extensive and useful although a lot of emphasis on grades are not given. But alot of knowledge is imparted and that is something that helps in getting the practical knowledge instead of just theoretical. MDI has some really good courses and some faculties are also fun and very knowledgeable. The classes are of 1.5 hours and the duration of exams depends upon different subjects same is with the difficulty level of exam. One thing that can be improved is the timing of classes should be reduced a little so as to not distract students. Because 1.5 hours attention span is difficult

Internships Opportunities :

I am interning in Cipla at 1.1l per month. The highest stipend was given by ITC that is 2.5l pm. My project is based on improvising on talent academies for MnQ dept in Cipla. Outcomes are yet to be given by my manager. The roles offered are based on different profiles and courses

Placement Experience :

Placements are pretty good. From october that is 4th sem end the placement season starts and the companies like Amazon, Cipla, GSK, Deloitte and etc such MNCs come. There is 100% placements. The highest package is 60lakhs and average is 25lakhs. My plans after getting the degree is to do job

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fees - 933500 in both 1st and 2nd year Learning material fees - 59450 in both 1st and 2nd year Student activities- 30000 in both 1st and 2nd year Library fees - 35750 in both 1st and 2nd year Alumni fees - 27500 Total fees without boarding and lodging charges - 1100500 1058700 in both 1st and 2nd years Boarding charges - 76125 in both 1st and 2nd year Lodging charges - 93975 in both 1st and 2nd years Grand total of 2years - 2499400 Financial aid is available and the fees becomes 6k for that. Campus internship was provided at Cipla in 1.1l

Campus Life :

Imperium is the annual and cultural fest of MDI. They are held mostly during feb. MDI library is the best, it has a lot of books and the variety of books is also very good. The classroom has a digital board and ppt slide share. Sports is also played very enthusiastically and seniors and juniors. There are many cns and sigs

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel room is a okayish. Even though there are many hostels but my hostel kaveri was very average. The quality of food is good and menu consisted of both veg and non veg. Registration process is given on the website there is no different registration process as hostel is compulsory

Admission :

I gave Cat exam and that year the pattern was slightly changes considering varc. I gave the exam in the first slot and secured 93.53%ile. Was lucky enough to get MDI's call and for MDI specifically there was no GD process. There was only one PI and the cut off was 91%ile that year. My interview was purely based on my understanding of business. I had to answer opinionated questions. This year they had a gdpi and offline interviews were conducted. During my time online interviews were conducted and the process was very smooth. I think no improvements were required as they made it convenient for the panelist as well as the students because then they didn't have to travel so far to the campus without accommodation.

Campus placements are good, they leave no company unturned to do the interviews. We usually get summer internship and before that there are lot of interviews going. In case of campus placements they are eligible only in the last semester

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are taken twice a semester for the betterment and improvement of students in final exams. I was told by the faculty that they try their best. To make it easy for students to understand. Which was really nice and more than expected.

Placement Experience:

You will get placement only after completing your course. There are several companies like Garda Chemicals, crystal crop protection, bayer, PI industries. They have placed average of 3-4 students. Highesht package was of one student about 8 lakh per annum in LDC company. Only 30%student got placed. You have to search at your own the companies.

It's includes all the different type of courses in agriculture stream with different topics like agronomy , horticulture , soil science , plant pathology , computer science. Wide range of scope is there but teacher is not much knowledgeable they only copy from notes and then delivered lectures to the students. It's very poor for teacher

Remarks:

During the sixth trimester of the Programme, each participant is required to undertake a research project. the college emphasis on the trainning of the student on a practical ground too. A research problem of contemporary relevance (theoretical / action oriented) is identified by the participants in consultation with NIFM faculty and / or senior level officers of their respective Department / organization. However, the final decision on the project work is taken by NIFM. The timing and duration of the project work is 16 weeks as per the curriculum. NIFM faculty guides the participants in research, analysis, preparation and completion of the project. The participants are expected to remain in regular touch with their faculty guides for timely completion of the project work. The project work is required to be completed and submitted before completion of the programme.
