Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is average standard one. Curriculum includes the history of Hindi language and Hindi literature. It contains the famous hindi writers, poets, poems, drama, story, essays, contemporary literature etc. we can study about Hindi literature in deep. But the curriculum must be improved and should be based on job oriented. Include more contemporary literature other than old history. But the duration of each semester and study time for exams were a mess due to the corona. After the corona too, there is no strict time table for the courses in Kerala University. No proper time for exams and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are low. One can afford it. Yearly tuition fees for 3 years will be around 5000. And each semester exam you should pay exam fees(approximately 500) via online. No fees other than this is required. Students will get various scholarships according to their caste, religion, annual income and marks . That's a relief for students.

Campus Life

2.5

Infrastructure was good. Campus life was average. Good library was provided. Was really useful. Nice buildings and facilities were there in our department (we got a new building). There were ncc, guide,SPC and all type of club activities. Students can engage in any of them.

Hostel Facilities

2

I didn't get Kerala University hostel because of limited availability. So I rented a private hostel for 5000. It was ok ok. Food were just ok. Shared room with 3 people. Bathroom was ok. Quality of meal was ok. I got a hostel in a distance of 2km from College

Exams are held each semester and are moderately difficult beacuse of this, so practical training and teaching methods need improvement.

I chose this course as because I like English Literature. The student ratio that my class own is about 48 students in total. Majority of the teachers who are posted there are those who have qualified with NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST). The current HOD is one of the retired Assistant Professor from one of the renowned college around Kozhikode town. Internal exam were timely, but coming to University exams it was so restless. But as if now, it is getting into the track again by conducting exams on time.

Exams are extremely challenging and if we have covered minimum portions we can easily go through them. And any malpractices like attempts are not allowed and would get punished for. I chose for my own interest and have enough fun throughout the time period.
