Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose iot due to recent boom in embedded systems and semiconductor industry. This course also is more software inclined and certainly makes a person industry ready to specialisation in iot. End sem exams are tough but teachers are good and are well qualified phd holders from IITs/NITs.

Class Size : 59Course Fees : INR 232000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Compulsary internship of 6 months is provided . I don't have much details. Goldman sachs has provided quite a high internship to few students. College also provides research internships to eligible candidates.

Placement Experience :

Typically in the seventh semester. Reputed companies such as Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Nvidia have visited our campus. The highest package offered was 86 lpa while the average was around 14 lpa. Around 88-89 percent students got placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Due to our college being based on PPP model, the fee hikes after some period. If you add up all charges then the total fee including hostel comes around 14/15 lakh. Though many scholarships can be availed such as NSP, MahaDBT the scholarships can be up to 100 percent.

Campus Life :

Annual tech fest called tantrafiesta and cultural fest called abhivyakti takes place in our college. Abhivyakti in February while tantrafiesta in October. The library is somewhat small but contains many academic books. ACs are available in every classroom, lab as well as reading room and library. Classrooms and labs also have projectors along with good wifi access. Playground is currently under construction. Their are many clubs like gdsc, crescendo which is music and dance club, orator club etc.

Admission :

I gave jee mains and I had 94.5 percentile and thus I secured admission in this college. Caste reservation is present but female reservation isn't present for admission. Jee mains is moderately difficult and it is conducted twice every year. You also need at least 75 percentage in 12 th boards to be eligible for admission .

UMIT best engineering institute for women

Placement Experience:

At the start of the 6th sem campus placement gets started in July. Dates are given to companies who are coming to interview students. Amdocs and Infosys used to give a very good package to computer engineering students. More than 75 % of students get placed.

Good infrastructure and facilities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the campus from the seventh semester. The companies visited in the core sector are Triveni Turbines, Manas Agro Industries, Bosch, Mecgale pneumatics, and Antony waste. The highest package was up to 4 LPA and the lowest was 2.2 LPA. 30% of students get placements during the Covid period. I got placed in a power plant and I m working there.
