College Review

Dislikes

  • 30% rule for elective subjects. They don't allow subject if 30% criteria of students is not fulfilled
  • Hostel management, very poor hostel management.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course cirriculum is good but they don't have more options for elective subjects. For elective subject there is a criteria of 30% i.e the enrollment for any elective course should be 30% from each batch then only that course will be allowed. Teaching method is using only ppts or sometimes white board, lab facilities are also not so good as many systems are not working. Some professors put effort in teaching and some just do as duty.

Internships Opportunities :

For intership there are companies like Google, Microsoft, Expedia, Uber which provide a decent stipend. Also TNP Cell is very active during drive. For projects they don't help you so much. They just teach and you have to do everything on your basis

Placement Experience :

Placement is decent, companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Walmart, Oracle, Synopsys visit the campus for recruitment. Highest Package was offered by AWS and package is about 54 lakh. Average Package is about 10-12lakh.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is not much high as compared to private colleges in first year it was 1,03,000 and in second year it was 1,05,000 similarly for 3rd and 4th year it was 1,15,000 and 1,25,000 respectively. Also have different scholarship schemes which details are available on website. Campus placement is good.

Campus Life :

College campus is very small, it will tak 15-20min to explore complete campus. Most of the suggested books are available in the library. IT block is good as it is recently renovated but other departments have not good facility. Not much extracurricular is offered in campus, they have only basketball court, which is mostly used as parking.

Hostel Facilities :

I am outside Delhi student, so i got Hostel very easily, I have come college in 2nd year due to covid our first year was online, they have no space to accommodate more students, they are just filling forcefully, in second they converted 3seater room to 4 seater and then next year those 4 seater room is converted to 6 seater room with bunk beds. And then they converted 2 seater rooms to 3 seater also they are not provided with proper furniture some don't have table, some don't have chair, some don't have cupboard also it become so suffocating for students. Also there is a lot of maintainance issue. If you write complain for any thing it will take months to be repiared. Also in hostel there are cats. Food quality is good but not very good.

Admission :

Application is through Joint Admission Committee, Delhi(JAC) Councelling, which takes admission on JEE Mains Score. In JAC, Delhi 85% seats are reserved for Delhi students i.e students done their school from Delhi and their Address is of Delhi. I am Outside Delhi Candidate which have only 15% seats. Also I have OBC benifit. Cutoff for Outside Delhi Candidate is very high but low for Delhi students.

Placement Experience:

Placements at DTU are good, even in core branches, but students must have the necessary skills. At DTU, over 300 companies visit, offering decent packages. The highest packages can reach crores (of course, these are international packages). Some students also prefer to pursue master's degrees or MBAs after their degree. From the third year, students are eligible for on-campus internship opportunities, and in the fourth year, they are eligible for placements. It is definitely beneficial, but you must have skills and knowledge of your subjects. Strong communication skills are also essential.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn coding and that's why i chose btech in computer science at igdtuw. the curriculum is not designed from the perspective of preparing you for real-world application, instead it solely depends on what should be taught at a university based on the branch. the area of improvement could be removing the unrelated subjects in the first year of engineering because no one actually learns anything from that and instead, there should be related subjects. exams are held twice a semester, making it four times a year

Students become eligible for campus placements in 6th semester . Many big companies visit the college and there are very big offers each year and even offers upto 1.5cr have been made . The average package for CSE is 18 lpa and almost all CSE students that opt for placement get placed . My plan is to pursue higher education after degree.

From the 5th semester, you are eligible to get an internship opportunity through campus. Big tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon come every year in our colleges. The highest international package is around 1crore+. 65-70% of college students are able to get placed

The college is known for its placements, it has great placement opportunities. The companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Atlassian, Uber, Walmart, Wipro, and many more visits the college for placements and offers more than 30 lacks package. The highest package offered to a student was 59. 45 lacks in the year 2021 and the average salary package was 19.15 lacks , the highest package was Google. The college provides internship opportunities as well and it gets started from the beginning of 3 Rd year of students, students in their 2 nd year also got internship opportunities. so almost all students get placed and if someone still does not get any placement so they have the opportunity to do higher study in Mtech. The college provides higher study options to students, this includes Mtech and Ph.D. courses and many more. So you can go to this college.

From the end of the 4th sem and starting of the 5th sem students can get internships easily they are eligible for placement just after the 3rd year many students get placement in the same companies they are interning in. Many companies visit the campus to take interviews n every year and give many offers to the students. The last highest offer was around 1.2 crores Nd average is around 25-30lakhs. College claims 100% of students get placed but the reality is actually around 90% get placement actually others. My plans after getting the degree will be to become the richest person in my family then in the world.

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Major companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Swiggy, Sprinkler, Blackstone etc. A few years back,8 students from NSUT got a staggering package of 1.25 Crore from Google. The average package for tech branches is around 17-18 lakhs per annum. In tech branches, it has a humbling record of 100 percent placements approximately. As of now, I'll like to do my master from abroad after completing BTech from NSUT
