Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum is little outdated as compared to IITs and NITs. But it is at par compared to nearby private colleges. The current director Prof. Manikant Paswan is trying to improve it, but there is long road to go to achieve it.

Class Size : 23Course Fees : INR 325000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Mostly nearby companies such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Swaraj visit for college internships. Infosys, TCS also visit for IT internships. Zscalar had given highest placement this year i.e. 23 Lakhs. Overall internship opportunity is good in this colleges compared to curriculum fees.

Placement Experience :

3rd years students are eligible for internship opportunities through training and placement department of the institute. Average placement ranges from 3-4 LPA and highest placement is 25 LPA. Most of the people in the campus are not motivated at all. So, they don't focus on anything. They just complete the degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee Structure of this institute is quite affordable i.e. 4 lakhs for the whole degree. You can also opt for the TFW scheme if you are in top 3 of your class in first year itself considering your JEE Mains Rank. You can also apply for central and state scholarships schemes through the student welfare department.

Campus Life :

This college has very good infrastructure but campus life is little deal breaker. As college is located in remote areas, you will have little less connectivity to towns nearby like ludhiana, Chandigarh. People in college are little conservative like curfew hours for girls after 6PM.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel Facility is quite good, having good infrastructure. Fees of hostels is also quite affordable having 13000 rupees per year. Each room accomodate 3 persons till second year. Food quality is good in some hostels but it is really bad in some. You will have to find a balance between mess food and other option available in the campus while your stay.

Admission :

Admission process was based on JEE Main counselling. I got this college in CSAB II round. You can also join this college in 2nd year through leet entry after giving SET (LEET Exam conducted by the institute iteself). Getting into this college through 2nd method is easy as compared through the JEE Mains counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was doing bachelor of Technology in computer science. Starting from the classroom to the computer labs , everything is available and well maintained. You learn programming and languages with the help of faculty and for every student there is computer available with all equipments. In a week, there are 3 days of computer lab practice and 3 days for classwork. The professor tests and skills very often and if there is any inefficiency , he/she will help you to correct it. Placement Experience:

In- campus placement is not that good it is below average as they have taken way too many admissions their placements are not even to rely on they dont provide with good companies coming for selection average placement in CSE in 3-4 lpa they focus on theoretical knowledge more than the practical knowledge so no students are ready for the placement criterias and at last they fail as predicted

SLIET: A Modern Gurukul

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem for the degree and 6th for the diploma and 4th sem for the Mtech Students. Placements are about average and this year 2023 the placement ratio is growing faster and about 70 percent of the students from each branch got at least an average package. 20LPA is the highest in the history of SLIET offered by Microsoft. I have already been placed in HCL and Cognizant-like MNCs. So focus on the only job now.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Chitkara. The placement procedure starts in the 6th semester of our college and goes until you are graduated (8th semester). Need to mention that Chitkara holds a record of 100% placement. Every student gets placed here. Companies offer anything between 3lpa - 12lpa. But you need to study a bit for getting placed. Note that college cannot force a company to recruit students. Companies recruit based on tests and interviews that they conduct. My plans after getting a degree will be to work for the company I've been placed in.
