Student's Review On Sant Longowal Institute Of Engineering And Technology - [SLIET], Sangrur

Remarks :

It's near to my location and education is good, even the nature of teaching is very best, and the location of college is in good place. The transportation is also good and it's a government college.the education fees is less compared to private institution

Course Curriculum Overview :

Syllabus was not updated.Very less industry exposure ewas given once in the entire course we had an industry visit and that too thermal power plant.Faculty were good, Dr. Dilip Kumar(Dept of Electronic and Communication Engineering) was the best among other facilities.Er. Alka Singla(Dept of Electronic and Communication Engineering) were among the best facilities.Er. Rajesh Pathak(Dept of Electronic and Communication Engineering) were among the best facilities.

Internships Opportunities :

I have opted to do internship from Webhops Pvt Ltd, Jaipur but that was stipend less.

Placement Experience :

The placement of the college is average and so only top scorers make into getting job after the college is over. The alumni network is growing now a days and now the placement statistics is improving.I was able to get a job in campus placement but not all from my batch were having a job after that finish the course.

College Events :

We have 2 main fests.Technical fest- instruocultural fesr- rebeca. We wait entire year for them.Various students from different colleges come and participate.we have a team for both the fests and everything happens as we are guided. Then there is after party (where we are all high.xd)

Campus Life :

The campus infrastructure was awesome. We were provided with free wi-fi and we had a Central Library and digital library too included in itself. The labs were equipped with the necessary machinery and all the labs were working in good condition.

Hostel Facilities :

I have opted for hostel and in my point of view the campus is awesome. It is full of greenery all around. The hostel was equipped with mess into it.We were not charged seperate for our hostel as such because the rent for living in hostel was included in the semester fees of â?¹26000 so we were charged for our food per montb that was costing us â?¹2500 per month. It is easy to avail the hostel facility as everyone has to live in hostel because after admitting in the campus all are alloted the hostel. If you want to live without hostel then that is also available but that will be highly expensive as you have to book your pg and all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum could be a little more practical rather than just theoretical, court visits are very few and there's no provision for placement through college so it is kinda like a big disappointment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course, exams are conducted 4 times in each and every semester. There are 2 MSTs which are monthly test held for 20 marks which will have a direct effect on the internal marks of the students. And after that there is a practicals exam for 20 marks, after which the main semester exam is done for 60 marks. All these curriculum activities helps the students in preparing for competitive exams or building up our own business. The practicals done in these days help the students to get a more comprehensive and scientific view on the study of their own respective courses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is the worst part of my college Computer Engineering students need to learn chapters like Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Design i.e Mangonel and I don't know how will it help in industries. In my entire 4 years, there was no subject for javascript, instead they provide the options between ML/AI, AWS and full stack. But Javascript should be introduced as a general elective. Exams are conducted intensively MId sems, end sems, 2 sessionals, 2 lab evaluations and 2 vivas, making the life of the student harder.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements here are pretty decent , not that much good but if study hard specifically for placements then easily can get around 6lpa paclage , also there is plenty of time for other comptetevie exams such as gate , cat or upsc people spend ample amount of time in studyng these subjects and get selectd too , also higher study in foreing university and colleges can be focused if cgpa can be foced based on acadmics , the opportunity here is never ending.

Placement Experience:

I would rate On campus placements of my university as moderate as there are few companies that visit are college and most of them are service based so we cant expect much from them. After 6th sem students get eligible for campus placements. Some of top companies that visited our college from many years are KPMG, TCS, Accenture, Zscaler etc. Highest package till now is around 44lpa and lowest is about 3.5lpa. Around 70-80% Students get placed every year. After Getting degree I will try to crack a good company or will try for higher studies

Placement Experience:

Placement are not bad or good , but decent. If you will study hard and give your time to study and develop skills then definitely you will get good packages. But if you will not study and don't take it seriously then their is no guarantee of placements .
