- The environment of the college is good. Greenery can be seen everywhere and at the time of evening the hostellers use to play in the ground.
- Facilities of the department are much more cooperative and helps in every difficulties.
Dislikes
- There's only one counter in the fee counter which takes long time to submit the fees and sometimes it's 1/2 day
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Head of Department (H.O.D.) himself explained me with all the machineries in each laboratory and also told me the benefits of a Civil Engineer in the developing world. He motivated me and shows great interest on what a student need. Everything is ok but the civil department needs a technician to explain the advance technology used in civil engineering. The survey instrument are not ok and there's no one to operate it much easier. All the facilities and members of department are too cooperative and are always speaks on behalf of you. The internal examination are conducted twice for 1 semester and sometimes tricky and sometimes easy and mixed. Theories are explained more that practicals also a very less digital teaching is done. The department needs to include some seminars and projects for enhancing students ability.
Internships Opportunities :
I got my 1ts internship at 2nd semester which was by AICTE government housing minister. The internship was paid and I got the stipend amount of 10,000rs Some of these small task are offered to the selective students according to their performance in the academic year.
Placement Experience :
Students of 7th semester can apply for placement for which the training and placement department of the college is involved. The mega placement event in which the companies visit is more than 25 and students of other colleges can also apply for it. The placement ratio is bit low My plan after the degree is to get experience thorough private limited and further go for masters degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tution fee is 44700rs for each semester Year on year this is increasing. It's currently 48000rs per semester. This includes all the other charges such as uniform, id , internet charges and many more. The complete cost for my education fee will be approx to 5- 6 lakh rupees including the hostel fees. Some events also takes place in the college campus.
Campus Life :
There's two huge events and the most popular events for an RVS college students is Frolic and provenance. Frolic is a sports events which follows 3-5 days and in which the whole college is involved. Its an event in which the teams are according to their department. each students get there own branch t-shirt for frolic and the crowd in the ground seems so interesting. Students cheering and shouting with all their potential. Provenance is the cultural fest in which mini events are done at the morning time and at the evening one day is the college dance and ramp walk program and another day is the DJ night and the third day is celebrity night.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is located in the campus itself. The water cooler is fitted with aqua guard for drinking water. Cleaning of floors and washrooms are done in regular basis. Keeping it hygienic. The quality of food provided by mess is now good. For applying for hostel you need to choose option which admission itself. You can also opt for hostel later by visiting to hostel office at the B2 building.
Admission :
The first step to take admission in RVS COLLEGE of engineering and technology, Jamshedpur is that you have to register with a 1000rs fee Eligibility for the course is more than 60% in your boards exam. You can find all the process in administrative department. Then a sum of 10,000rs has to be submitted as a registration fees which is refundable at the time of CLC. Every other course has a scholarship benefit but there is no scholarship for Computer science department. On the basic of my 12th grade marks I availed 35% scholarship on my yearly tution fee. The scholarship percentage will depend upon the performance of your year wise performance in the college. Each percentage is valid for 1 year. Admission process in this college is too quick. Examination are conducted semester wise for University and 2 internal exams of 20 each are conducted by the college for which the best will be choosen. To control the students in the college they use heavy fine system for any unusual activities.
