- The buildings, the nature, the campus being just beside the ARAI hill makes the campus very loving.
- The college being in the heart of Kothrud, if any lecture gets cancelled, many places are reachable to have fun
Dislikes
- The faculty of the college have a lot of attitude
- The infrastructure and all is good but things aren't accessible as canteen is very far and have to walk a lot
Course Curriculum Overview :
In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness, I'd rate the course 8/10. This course interested me as it is all about digital electronics, some coding and a lot of practical work. Also this course has very good job opportunities and is one job that AI won't be able to replace. Since I'm in the first year I can't say how well the course will train me to solve real world applications but I am sure it will help me out in this field a lot. One thing I don't like about the course is that in first year we are having biology and chemistry as a subject. It makes no sense to have these subjects as they aren't even related to ENTC.
Fees and Financial Aid :
For my course, My Parents had to pay 315000 for tbe first year(excluding all the transport fees, canteen fees). This fees is certainly high as not all parents are able to afford it. Also every year, this fees increases by 7-10%, that is it will keep on increasing for the second year and would be more for third year. There are students scholarships available for students where if they are above a certain percentage or in the top 100, they get a fees reduction of 50%. That is they have to only pay 175000. MIT WPU has a placement of 99% which is in general good.
Campus Life :
My experience till now is good as the campus is very nice and beautiful it being in the center of Kothrud. Many fests take place every year and on an average, atleast there is one fest every months. All the national festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm and determination. The college also conducts Annual Gathering, where students and parents are invited too. In terms of sports, the college keeps on conducting many events so that students stay healthy and they make sure students participate in it. Also the college has many clubs where students get to work on their hobby too.
Admission :
The admission process begins with applying for addmission. On a scale of 1-10, this step would be 6 as per convenience and comfort. The application process was good but wasn't that convenient as we had to face site server issues, in-person a lot of traffic. The next step was paying fees in installments or paying all the money at once. There are 2 installments. The first installment was convenient as it happened smoothly compared to that of the second installment So on a scale of 1-10 I'd rate the payment of fees as 8/10. For the cutoff part, I had no issues as I had 81% in MHT-CET, thus I got admission in the first round making it very much convenient for me.Since I had above 80% in CET, I was eligible for the admission. If going through CET, consider applying from the college's main site (admissions.mitwpu.edu.in). From there it is a simple process. What I would suggest if they were to make improvements for their site is to find the bug for why it crashes when many people access it.
