- I like the placements which is the very good in terms of highest package lowest package and over all average package for mainly cs and it branches.
- I like the faculty experience because the experience faculty can teach students in a very good manner.
Dislikes
- I dislike the campus size and campus life because campus size is too small . And there is nothing in the campus life
- I also disliked the clubs joining process because the joining process for clubs is not hasaley free it requires a great amount of time
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of my branch computer science and engineering is all about the computer application based on the real life problems. Computer science branch is one of the best and booming branch in the era of AI . Since it is one of the best branches for engineering nowadays the cutoff for computer science is also very high. But there is one problem for the teaching methods that teachers should perform the life coding classes for the students to learn better for their future but it is not done by the teachers by various Government engineering colleges. The frequency of the exams depends upon the schedule generally there are three mid sem examinations and one final end sem examination in one semester.
Internships Opportunities :
After the 4th semester students are eligible for the internship programs available there are various companies which come for the internship offers with a very good amount of is stipends amount of stipends very for the role of students generally it is about 15 to 40 k per month . The IT companies offered role as junior software developer. And the interns are allowed to do projects which are dedicated by the company.
Placement Experience :
After the 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement and for computer science and information technology branch it is one of the best college for placement because previous year the highest package for the computer science was about 44 LPA and the average package is about 12 to 14 LPA for the computer science branch. For the remaining branches such as mechanical civil electrical the placements are good but not good as compared to computer science and IT . There are various companies visited such as Goldman Sachs ,Deloitte, and many more and they give very good number of offers for correct number of offer one should preferred to go to official website . For the computer science and information technology branch about 80 to 90% students are placed and for other remaining branches about 60% students are placed and remaining students prefer to continue higher studies and other government jobs . My plan after getting the degree is to placed in MNc with good package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure for the SGSITS Indore is not very high as compared to other private engineering colleges. Since it is a Government engineering College so the fees structure for 1st year is about 100000 rupees . For the completion of 4 years of degree the total fees would be around 4 to 5 lacs. But for the latest fees structure one should check the college official website. There are various scholarship programs present in college such as MMVY it is the scholarship for the students of Madhya Pradesh who gets a rank of less than 1.5 lakhs in JEE mains get a scholarship amount of whole tuition fees for 4 years of degree . There is also I scholarship for the schedule caste and schedule tribes students from the college. And there is also a TFW also known as tuition fees waiver seat for almost all the two seat in all branches in engineering where the students who gets the least rank for that branch will get laid of from the tuition fees.
Campus Life :
This is the field where the college administration should work because the campus life is not good as other engineering College and there are various clubs for students in the field of painting music dancing video graphy, coding editing, etc . There is also one annual festival known as AAYAM which is done usually in the month of February . There is also a central library which is considered as the largest library of Central India which consist a large number of books and journals for the students. There is a normal proper ventilated classroom for the students but non AC classrooms are available mostly. There is a very large ground for cricket football volleyball and tennis and students who are interested in this sports can give to the names to the sports teacher of college. And there are various clubs which are running by the students of SGITS Indore like gsph also known as GS production house which is the official production house of college.
Hostel Facilities :
There are two hostels for the first year students for boys and one girls hostel. And the seats are limited for the hostel so which mostly students prefer to live nearby PG . There are normally almost all the facilities provided in hostel I like Wi-Fi 24 by 7 water electricity and ventilated rooms non AC. And the food is also good but remind that it is a government college so don't expect the high class expectations from the hostels it is just like a normal Government engineering College hostel. Mostly student preferred to eat lunch and dinner from outside eat lunch and dinner from outside . Because the meal quality is not good as their expectations. The registration process for the hostel is done at a time of the admission in college. And the hostel fees for the first semester is about 12000 and mess face is also about 12000 to 14000. There are various rooms private hostels and PG available in nearby Vallabhnagar area which is about 500 m to college.
Admission :
The admission process of SGSITS Indore is done by Madhya Pradesh centralised counselling also known as MPDTE it is the centralised counselling for the various prestigious colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The cutoff is decided by the JEE mains CRL and cutoff for various branches such as computer science , information technology is uploaded on MPDTE website . There is a reservation for Madhya Pradesh students such as 85% seats are reserved from Madhya Pradesh student and remaining 15% seats are reserved for students of states other than Madhya Pradesh. And about 85% students of Madhya Pradesh are also reserved by the reservation criteria of SC ST OBC and general ews.
