Course Curriculum Overview :

The sole reason for me joining to this course was the sheer number of job oppourtunities it provided. Not that everybody gets a job but if we are looking only at the number then B.Tech cse surpasses almost any other course.

Internships Opportunities :

Unfortunately we have only limited internship oppourtunities available for us . But is not so difficult to find one if we are dedicated enough . There are some teachers who would provide us with the necessary assistance for getting internships

Placement Experience :

The students become eligible for placement from sixth sem onwards . We have a separate plcement cell dedicated to train students to crack placement . Many companies have visited our campus fo placements the most notable being TCS,Infosis etc . I also am currently planning to get a job after the course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am studying in a government funded college (not exactly a government college). Here i have to pay an amount of Rs 36750 per year. I also had to pay approximately 10k rupees for some additional charges(which unfortunately i am not able to recall correctly). It should be noted that the above mentioned charges does not include examination fees which we are supposed to pay separately upon examination registration. While the college does not provide any scholarship or financial aid , the students can avail various scholarships funded by the state and central government which includes NSP, E grantz , Samunnati scholarships. There is also a scholarship provided exclusively for women by IEEE.

Campus Life :

Overall we have a quite vibrant campus life with lots of clubs including IEEE, IEDC, Music ,Dance GDSC , Tinkerhub , NSS etc . We have tremendous amount of freedom. We have a library which has almost every book that an engineering student would need during his/her course but unfortunately less in number. So majority of the students won't be able to avail this facility if they don't come and take the books early. But after taking book from library , students would be able to extend the books till the end of the semester. To extend the book ,they would have to send an email to the library email id stating their roll number . The classrooms have all the basic facilities like fan, light ,windows, bench , desk etc . The classroom is also large enough to accomodate 6o students . But unfortunately not every classroom has projector even though most have . We have many sports activities including cricket, football, volleyball , badminton leagues happening every year.

Hostel Facilities :

Unfortunately our college does not provide hostel facility. The campus does provides hostel but only for PG students. So unfortunately i can't comment on the hostel facility . I am currently residing in a private hostel nearby

Admission :

I had to write kerala engineering entrance exam (KEAM) and the admission was based on the ranklist published by them . For eligibility, one had to be 12 th pass . You can apply to keam via online on their official wbsite. Almost 50% of the seats are reseved for government engineering colleges and the percentage may vary for private colleges. Ever year keam exam is conducted once ,mine was around June. The official ranklist for keam is made be giving equal importance to both the marks scored in entrance exam and marks scored in physics, chemistry and maths in 12th board exam. I felt that it was totally unnecessary to give any preferance to marks scored in 12th.

Other Applied Colleges

colllege of engineering.trivandrum | b.Tech

Unfortunately didn't had enough marks to get admission

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The average package starts from 120000 lpa and highest was 700000lpa. This year itself more than 800 students was placed in different companies. So I also tend to prepare for campus placements for my final year
