Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because an engineering degree in biotechnology opens up job opportunities. Curriculum is average since it includes subjects other than our major course as well. There could have been more biotech oriented subjects other than the other fields. Exams are taken ofently like 3 times every semester and gets hectic to manage

Class Size : 101Course Fees : INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Roles in tech fields and non tech fields like data analyst, management, marketing with good pay stipend of 30-40 thousand per month Tasks like languages, projects like capstone has to be done , ELC activities are performed

Placement Experience :

Placements are available in 6th sem Companies like JPMC, bane and company, ZS associates, black rock , Microsoft ! This year offers were less like 1000 Highway package has been for 4000000 and average of 7-8lakhs This year percentage is low like 60 percentage I would like to get a job directly

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is high for normal people . It gets about 700000 per year including hostel, course feels and mess fees which means about 2800000 in four years. There are merit based Scholorship, bpl Scholorship, single girl child Scholorship I haven't yet been given any internships in 2nd year .

Campus Life :

We have major fests called Saturnali in October,izhar in April, mudra night in January , oorja sports fest in February. All the books are available since the library is the best here. We have proper projectors, ac's, laser lights, well seating desks. Sports culture is extremely well built There are more than 60 societies to join regarding every field possible.

Hostel Facilities :

I have been given a big almirah, proper desk, a well suited bed with storage area, AC , balcony, attached bathroom and toilet, fan , lights Meals are amazing and we also have night canteens in the hostel Hostels are given after admission in the orientation based on marks

Hostel Fee : INR 56500 per year

Admission :

For biotechnology, percentage of pcb in 12th was the criteria . I found the application form on Thapar's website Better criteria like neet score could have been used and less candidates could have been selected.

After 6th semester students are eligible for internship had placements. The companies which generally comes for placements are google, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, LnT, Cisco, Infosys etc are some of the highest recruters in chitkara university.
