Course Curriculum Overview

The practical learning was less. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, the syllabus is outdated. There were some initiatives.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship. We have an option to appoint an internship or study tour. We selected the second option. There was 2 study tour for the whole period of study.

Placement Experience

Only a few placements from college. Big companies didn't show any interest in the college. The biggest job provider was Sutherland, a Telecaller company.

College Events

Two technical fests and two arts festival are conducted. Also, there were some occasional events that were taking place. There were some workshops also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The regular fee for government merit students was rupees 65000. Also, there was some extra fee. All together the total fee per year will be around 74000.

Hostel Facilities

The boy's hostel was opened recently. The ladies hostel was on sharing basis.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Faculty

The standard of teaching and faculty is average. Some are less interactive and others are nice. All teachers have Master degree. There were a lack of experienced teachers.

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

A PLACE TO CREATE YOUR FUTURE

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
