Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical engineering is a field with vast applications and job opportunities, with an interest in automobile, engines, I landed up with this branch and no doubt this branch teaches you everything you see around functioning let it be ur vehicle, a drilling machine, manufacturing any product. PSIT emphasize more on practical learning thus we have numbers of the lab for different courses. We have the R&D department in college which is led by our director and many students are part of it.
Internships Opportunities :
No, the college does not provide any type of internship rather we have summer and winter training programmes being conducted by college free of cost .
Placement Experience :
College focus on placements is too high, college even hire professionals to train up the students for the different placement drive. Among the other AKTU colleges , we have day 1, day 2, day 3, placement drive i.e three different major recruting companies (INFOSYS, TECH MAHINDRA, CAPEGIMINI ) visit our college.
College Events :
We have freshers function named as WAVES and a techno-cultural fest named IGNITIA that are held every year, other than we have a sports event named FOOTPRINTS. Ignitia is the biggest of all. College management helps the students to conduct the event. All the events are conducted by students only, for that different committe are formed by the management. Ignitia is a 2-day event in which 1st day is dedicated to the technical and the next day is the cultural day, for the first night we have a band war and a DJ performance, the next night we have a celebrity night. Last year we had Shirley Setia . last to last year we had Gajendra Verma and Javed Ali has too performed. We had even Aisi Taisi Democracy at our college, the band till now performed are the Underground authority and Astivita.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Among the different colleges of AKTU, PSIT provides you the best in less . the college is quite affordable with a fees of 1,20,000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
If you a student is having more than 90% in his secondary education , a part of his college fees is returned and to addition of this if you maintain more than 80% in your end semester exams you get a cash prize of Rs 5000.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I am a hosteler and there is no single rooms , the rooms are to be shared by two persons. No PGs system is allowed. 70,000 for non-ac rooms and 84,000 for non-ac rooms.
Alumni/Alumna :
The college has a good alumni network , alumni working in big companies reach to the college for interacting with the students in the college.
Faculty :
The faculty giving the lectures are not less than any NIITs professor , well equipped knowledge of their respective subjects in addition to that regular faculty development programmes are held in which faculty participate to enhance their knowledge .
