Hostel life vibeful and awesome for cheap fee
Due to less completion inside college, we are getting a lot of attention from teachers and management.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MESCET Kunnukara follows Kerala technological University syllabus which changes every 4 years. Currently, we are following 2019 scheme and it'll be updated in 2024. The current curriculum is very updated and less inclusive of technically updated knowledge. The curriculum is not industry relevant but provides thorough base for technological knowledge. The courses needs to implement more technical courses and programming languages from the first year of college. Exams are held at the end of semester and there are internal exams held twice within a semester.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience :

Students can avail placements towards the end of third year but this college doesn't provide a high percentage of placements per academic year. The placement that current students get are to regional companies with average pay of around 3 lakhs. My plan is to become an entrepreneur in the IT industry by developing my skills through IEDC and other entrepreneurship guidances.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee heavily varies if you are a management/NRI seat student. In terms affordability, the fee is not very affordable. Personally, my fee per semester is 40000 and hostel fee is 52000 per year. We are also supposed to security deposit of 5200 for hostel and academic fee ( one time ). There are various fee reduction options available based on tweflth grade / competitive exam scores. I have not yet taken any campus employments.

Campus Life :

Mescet Kunnukara doesn't host a lot of annual events except annual arts, sports, freshers day etc. The college management is very passive about conducting such vibeful events due to lack of funds. The infrastructure doesn't support conducting such events either. Management has to work on college infrastructure and event management for it's growth. Classrooms are very basic yet spacious. College has student organisations like IEEE, IEDC, GDSC, GDC, etc

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is the best part of mescet experience since the hostel is both affordable and comfortable. The hostel fee is 5200 per month inclusive of mess fee. Mess provides food four times with three big meals and evening snacks and tea. You can get good quality south Indian food like biryani, porotta, appam, chicken stew etc. hostel registration can be done along with admission process from college.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

The admission to MESCET Kunnukara is through Kerala engineering exam scores / lateral entry / Management or NRI seats. The keam entry is alloted by the government. Management and NRI seats can be taken through college management. Applications forms are found in the official mescet.ac.in website. You will have to verify the admission process by physical admission process apart from online application. Exams are moderate difficulty and held at the end of semester.

Interview Experience :

There were no interviews, GD or anything of such. Keam students enter the college with their eligibility score and management students can avail seats just by payment of fee. You can simply avail any seat you prefer by applying through college website or offline.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
