The campus has several laboratories throughout all the branches in several graduate degrees which are well equipped. Students, if they want to perform any personal projects, can approach the lab faculty to get their work done.
The campus specially focuses on research opportunities when compared to other private universities. The university encourages the students to publish research papers. It gives grace marks and distinction to students with published research papers

Dislikes

It is overly strict for girls. Girls have a curfew time of 5:30 after which they cannot stay out of hostel without stayback forms
The University tends towards being cultural in several aspects. It has courses that teach about Hindu culture which is made mandatory and not optional

Course Curriculum Overview :

The subjects involved in the course curriculum fascinated me to take up this course I felt the topics present in the course interesting. The course curriculum provides a very good balance between theoritical knowledge and practical knowledge through various labs. Our curriculum provides us hands-on projects, industry collaborations, etc. Some of the lecturer's just memorise the topics before coming to class which shouldn't be done instead of that lecturers who have expertise on the subject should be hired. Exams are frequently conducted , their difficulty level depends on the paper setter generally they range from moderate to hard.

Internships Opportunities :

The companies which come for giving internships are, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, etc. The roles offered by the companies are Finance intern, communications intern, software developing intern, Human resources intern and many more. The tasks and projects given by the companies will help us to excel in our placement journey.

Placement Experience :

The placements in our campus are not that good as most of the companies go to the main Campus i.e Coimbatore campus, hence the highest packages come from that campus, in our campus highest is 28lpa and average is 5 lpa(Only amritapuri campus), but for coimbatore campus highest is 56 lpa(approx.) From 3rd year onwards we'll be eligible for internships and placements. Companies like airtel, temenos, google, microsoft, etc visited our university out of which highest was given by google 56lpa and a good average of 9.1 lpa(For all the campuses). 95% of the students get placed. After getting the degree my plan is to move abroad for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of our university includes tuition fee and hostel fee along with caution deposit which is to be paid only at the beginning, as per our college policy the tuition fee increases according to the CGPA/Year, fee slabs are alloted according to our score in the entrance exam, to secure our slab we must maintain above a particular CGPA specified by the management. This increase happens only at the end of the year. The complete cost of my education is approximately Rs 1275000. No scholarships or financial aid is provided by our college.

Campus Life :

My overall experience in the aspect of campus life is very good, the people I met here are very friendly and very helpful, In our college we have many clubs for different domains like we have coding clubs, robotics club, Music club etc. The infrastructure of our campus is very good, The annual festival done in our college is called Vidyut which is mostly held in april or may. Other events are held for some festivals like Ugadi sankranthi etc. Our library provides full accessibility to books, journals and even research papers. Our classrooms are well equipped with a projector, we have a kabaddi court, basketball court and a cricket ground, badminton court is also there we have good exposure to sports in our college.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are good, each room consists of 4 people, the rooms are equipped with a wifi router for internet connection along with 4 beds and 4 study tables for 4 people. The meal quality is not that good and same menu is repeated periodically due to which gradually the interest in having mess food goes off. The Hostel fee is pretty much affordable as it is only around 67000. For hostel there's no separate registration during admission process itself they will consider hostel as well.

Admission :

The admission process consists of an entrance exam called as AEEE(Amrita entrance engineering exam). The admission can also be done through JEE score or SAT score, The elibility criteria requires a pass in class 12th from a recognized board with not less than 55% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately and aggregate minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The application form will be available in Amrita website along with the information about the application fees and application dates. There will be 2 to 3 attempts for based on management decision.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
