Course Curriculum Overview :

I was very much motivated to pursue this course of electrical engineering due to following reasons: It is an evergreen branch that will always stay in demand because of immense production of electrical vehicles and other goods. It provides you outer world experience and the course is more enjoyable due to its practical application, its usage in production of cars, bikes, trucks, mobile phones, etc. Once you are done with this course, you can also pursue MBA for higher studies and can also prepare for the Gate entrance exam. No wonder there are certain areas for improvement. The labs can have more proper functioning equipments so that children can enjoy the practicality of building circuits, using machines to operate activities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is 2.29 lakhs for 1 year. There are high chances of increment in tution fees annually.Even though, this increase will not be phenomenal. Service fees , i.e the services provided by the college, electricity bills etc will also be included. There are various scholarships available to attain concession in fees. There is one NAT exam and if you get above 9 cgpa you can apply and get scholarship upto 50%. Besides, there are various internships provided by big companies like TCS , Microsoft, Google etc. The highest on campus placement was 1.02 cr/ year.

Campus Life :

The campus life overall is worth to live. There are several events going on campus almost everyday. There is a cultural fest, Resonance for all the NSUTians. Besides, there is MOKSHA, biggest annual cultural fest of Asia, which is open for all. There is a library open for 6 days., except Sunday. It covers all the books in our syllabus. There are several facilities to play sports and there competitions in football, basketball, cricket etc. Even several societies as well, for eg. Mirage for dance, Ashwamedh for drama, Aries for robotics etc.

Admission :

In order to be eligible you need to clearthe cutt off of joint entrance exam i.e JEE. For electrical the course approval cutt off was 73752. You can find the application form, fees, which is 2.29 lakhs for 1 year, and the application dates on the main website of NSUT. Reservation plays a crucial role in this exam. The cutoff varies phenomenonally for different categories. If you belong to SC , ST category the same course of electrical , you can get at a rank of 2,45,000. Thus, there is immense benefit if you are under any reserved category. Even for girls there is separate reservation. This exam (JEE) has two parts, main and advance. For this college, jee mains is sufficient. If you are inside Delhi resident, your aim must be of getting above 95 %ile. While for outside residents, your aim should be above 97%ile. There are two attempts for jee in one year. You can even take a drop as many other students do. It is a 3 hours exam, consisting of 3 subjects of physics, chemistry and maths.

Placement Experience:

Placements at DTU are good, even in core branches, but students must have the necessary skills. At DTU, over 300 companies visit, offering decent packages. The highest packages can reach crores (of course, these are international packages). Some students also prefer to pursue master's degrees or MBAs after their degree. From the third year, students are eligible for on-campus internship opportunities, and in the fourth year, they are eligible for placements. It is definitely beneficial, but you must have skills and knowledge of your subjects. Strong communication skills are also essential.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn coding and that's why i chose btech in computer science at igdtuw. the curriculum is not designed from the perspective of preparing you for real-world application, instead it solely depends on what should be taught at a university based on the branch. the area of improvement could be removing the unrelated subjects in the first year of engineering because no one actually learns anything from that and instead, there should be related subjects. exams are held twice a semester, making it four times a year

The average package for CSE is 18 lpa and almost all CSE students that opt for placement get placed . My plan is to pursue higher education after degree.

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Major companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Swiggy, Sprinkler, Blackstone etc. A few years back,8 students from NSUT got a staggering package of 1.25 Crore from Google. The average package for tech branches is around 17-18 lakhs per annum. In tech branches, it has a humbling record of 100 percent placements approximately. As of now, I'll like to do my master from abroad after completing BTech from NSUT
