Course Curriculum Overview :
This course consist of high level engineering mechanis and physics . one who is good at classical physics and are passionate about engineering can opt this branch . right now in my first year the core subjects are : casting welding forming , thermodynamics , engineering mechanics , applied probability and statistics . these all subjects are quite good and essential for mechanical engineer . after coming into college i got what i dreamed in terms of academics . these subjects are quite real world problem solving subjects . for improvement in this course , the casting welding and forming subject should be modified somehow , because the theory is boring (honestly). Midterm are 30 marks , and Endterms are of 50 marks , 20 marks are internal (based on your quiz performance) .
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently in first year , so i know about internshio only through my seniors . the alumni network is quite good of mnit . so you can get internship in google , new york bank through referral . also companies like gail , mercedes , psu come for internships . you need a grass root level knowledge in your field for getting internship.
Placement Experience :
placements are so far so good . max package this year was around 64 lpa of ece branch in IT sector. companis like reliance , gail , pioneer, mercedes , for core jobs .for IT field companies like infosys , rapido , federal bank . blue star, schneider, mastek .my plan is not decided yet .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So in my college fee remission is provided by the banks located in our campus . if your income is less than 1 lakh than your tution fess are cancelled . the complete cost for 1 year is around 2.5 lakh including the college expenses . scholarships are also available in our college . few compansi are reliance , tata etc. for practical laboratories Phd scholars are assigned to teach practical to students . this Phd scholars get stipend monthly around 30000 rupees.
Campus Life :
So in nit jaipur there are many fest going throughout the year , but there are two main official fest : blitzchlag (cultural fest),sphinx (technical fest) in february and september respectively. The campus library is quite large and good and book banks are also available. campus is 300 acres big . In infrastructure we have VLTC lecture hall building which is asia's largest lecture hall building you can check. classrooms are air conditoned . sports complexes for individual sports are maintained well . exposure is quite good. there are many clubs here example : zine (robotics), mc square(dance),ndu(drama club).
Hostel Facilities :
hostel hygiene is 5 out of 10 . ac is not in the hostels . In first year 3 people in one room . we get 2 large meals with breakfast and snacks in a day . registration process for hostel is on the college erp site . hostels and mess food is affordable.
Admission :
I gave jee mains 2023. for entering college you have to give this all india level entrance exam . If you don't follow any strategy than it is quite hard to crack the exam . the exam consist of 300 marks including physics chemistry and maths subject (100 marks each). if you do not practice previous year questions you do not get selected . pressure handling is most important in this type of examination. You should give minimum 20 mock tests before the exams . In my year there were 2 attempts of jee mains, one in January and other in april . In first attempt i got around 93 percentile and in second attempt i scored 98.124 percentile . My AIR rank was 20814. The admission process of NITs and IITs is through JOSSAA counselling rounds . There are 6 rounds in JOSAA . I got my seat in 6 th round of jossaa . cutoff for this branch in this college for the general category was around 23000 in jossaa. the application of the jee mains form is available on jee mains website for the current year .
