Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is quite old n irrelevant because the college follows the aktu course. The course mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge rather than industry knowledge also it is very difficult for students to pursue an additional course as the assignments n exams are very frequent in the college

The fee structure of the college is on the expensive side the fees for a btech course is around 140000 but there are very good opportunity for scholarships in the college also u might get benefits if are from a economically weaker section.the college also provides money prizes for students good at academics n co curricular activiti

Campus Life

The social life in akg is very poor the crowd is mainly from delhi ncr the college conducts no fests of any kind the campus life can be very boring for an outgoing person however if u find good people it can be bearable the sports facility here is top notch u r regularly taken for tournaments if u r a part of any college team. The clubs n societies are the only escape from the boring campus life they r quite good

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are very good except for the food offered Here the hostel is hygienic clean n u will find trees which increases the beauty of it but there are a lot of restrictions for a girl hosteller the entry timing is 5pm for girls also a whole of restrictions from the warden but otherwise the hostel are very good compared to the other colleges

Admission

The college facilitates it's admission through aktu counseling any student who appeared for the jee mains examination is eligible to sit in this counseling although the cutoff for a good branch is quite high but one can easily get the lower branches at a much lower percentile. The college also facilitates reservation which again benefits the students. The admission process carried out by the college was very easy for the students as well as the parents classes were alloted for students of different branches which was quite easy for everyone to understand. The only scope of improvement would be the fee payment process if u are paying through cash it might be a little difficult for u

Since placement opportunities are limited, only a small percentage of students secure on-campus jobs. RECM - Underrated but a great future ahead.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to appear for placement from seventh semester. In Civil Engg Dept 40 students enrolled for campus placement and 28 students were offered jobs till the final semester. L&T Infra, Tata Steel, Prism Cement, ACC Cement are some of the prime recruiters. Highest package offered was 7.5 lpa , lowest 4.2 lpa and median was 5.5 lpa. Profiles offered were Project Associate ,BIM Engineer, Site Supervisor, Area Head (Sales). 70% of students got placed in the first batch of this college from civil engg dept. Currently I am serving as Junior Engineer at DFCCIL (Railways).

I chose this college as in previous times it was doing quite good in placements and but now most of the students are unplaced. Other colleges I've applied to are JSS noida, Galgotias etc are these colleges got a better placement ratio that my college. But campus of other campus are smaller compared to AKGEC. so bascially i didn't choose this college . i did mistake in my uptac counselling and get this college but when i studied here and seen all the aktu colleges i prefer this is good because it ranked 3 in up colleges .the college is ranked 3 in whole up and its naac A++ so yes its a great college so to get admission in akgec there are two ways by 10+2 percentage marks or by uptac counselling you have to fill your choices in uptac counselling so fill it very carefully without any mistake so the overall to get any cs/it branch your jee percentile should be above 88 and below that you can get any other core branches....Read More

Earlier, the admission process was based on the AKTU exam and its counseling. From 2021, they started taking admission on JEE mains score.
