Course Curriculum Overview :

IIM Visakhapatnam follow the course curriculum of IIM Bangalore. As IIM Bangalore is mentor of IIMV. In IIMV all the case studies we follow are of Harward Business Review. We have faculty to student ratio of 1/71.

Internships Opportunities :

College have a record of 100% placements. Average stipend offered is 80,000. Mostly management roles into marketing, finance, sales, operations are offered. This year many finance roles were offered. Iimv is doing better than iim Kashipur as well.

Placement Experience :

IIMV is doing great compared to all the third generation IIMs and also competing with 2nd generation iims as well. The highest package is 16.61 LPA. The condition of summer internships is ok only. But final placements is decent.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fees can be increased during the course. On an average it is increased 10% compared to last year. Complete education cost would be around approx. 22lakhs including personal expenses. There is IIMV financial aid program here and there are few banks wo are offering scholarships. One of the banks is IDFC.

Campus Life :

The campus is very beautiful. All the students get their personal rooms. Toilet and bathroom is common for wing. Classrooms are very hi-tech. We have dedicated sports complex were we have games like, pool and snooker, badminton court, squash court, gym, volleyball, basketball, football ground, tennis court and a dedicated cricket ground.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is no doubt better then any other IIM in the country. Food is also decent. Quality of food is good, just roti is not upto the mark. Breakfast and snacks is amazing. We have ac attached in all the hostel rooms.

Admission :

I gave CAT exam in 2022 then applied for IIM Visakhapatnam. I had yo fill a different form to apply for it. Then they took interview online and i was given an admission. Cutoff is mentioned on IIM Visakhapatnam's website. It changes every year.

Interview Experience :

I faced an online personal interview. Interview was very basic. Mostly questions were resume and sop based. There were many GK based questions as well. Most important question was why you want to do MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the college is very good and also it helps the students to know the basics of business. I guarantee that the people who want to start a business could get a better knowledge of marketing aspects. Not only that due to the proper curriculum and also topics involved in it, we can have proper knowledge on each core subject. There will be 2 mid-exams and also for every year 2 semesters of exams will be conducted.

Placement Experience:

The students get opportunities from the 4th trimester itself but the majority of companies visit in the 5th trimester. In my academic year, due to recession the offers got affected but the college generally gets 100% placements with decent median package. For my batch the average was 12 lpa. The lowest and highest were 6 lpa and 22 lpa. The companies which offer great packages are Nomura, HSBC, Barclay's, Yubi etc.

From the 4th semester, students can get placements. The average package for the students opting for this course will be around 5LPA. One need have minimum percentage of 70% to get placed. So maximum of the students around 80% will get placed. I will join the company based on the offers I receive from the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because of I have more interest on business and business environment. In our college, the faculty is too bad because they not well trained and even sometimes they will not provide faculty also. The way of teaching is also not good. The term exams are moderate and if we study means we will definetely pass.

Admission:

I took the APICET exam and then I contacted the college through their helpline and then I was told to fill out the form online and the cut off marks was above 70% and my score in the test was 74% and then my application got shortlisted and had counseling and chose this college and did a documentation and that is how my admission is done.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell in our college guides and assist us. They held workshops for us and test to improve our soft skills and our communication skills. The placement works hard to place a number of students to a big companies and invited companies like Mayur group of industries, Mahindra, Reliance, etc.
