Course Curriculum Overview :

The inclusivity and comprehensiveness of my course motivated me to join this course that is history and Political Science. The curriculum of this course prepares one for real-world applications as it provides with us adequate knowledge of what is going in and around world and the exam is very is easy to crack and timings are usually in the evening shift.

Internships Opportunities :

The placement cell of Maitreyi College is very active and offers huge variety of internship opportunities. Companies like Flipkart, Decathlon, Microsoft, Wipro, Vedantu visit and average 5 lakh per annum package is offered.

Placement Experience :

Students can do internships during their college years from any year and there are plenty of internship opportunities provided by the college. 91% offer in commerce, 88% in science and 79% in arts these are the placement opportunities offered and few of the companies that visit are Flipkart, Decathlon, Microsoft, Wipro, Vedantu and etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fees doesn't rise as such and there are no specific and significant hikes. Various scholarships are also being provided by the institute for socially and economically underprivileged class and the whole education will cost around including the fees and service fees and all will be somewhat around 14-15k excluding accomodation charges.

Campus Life :

While talking about campus life, club investment, societies and all. Maitreyi College surely should be considered there are numerous numbers of societies, department unions, departmental fest, society fest and the annual fest Rhapsody. Maitreyi has everything to offer from a huge library including a huge variety of books to facility of sports room, sports activities and sports fests. The classrooms are huge as well and teachers also use projector at times.

Hostel Facilities :

The annual hostel charges are 180000 including the facility of mess, ground, garden. Common washrooms are provided. The mess food is good and the menu is very inclusive of all cuisines. The hostel registration starts at the beginning of new session and one can apply by filling the form and completing the registration process.

Admission :

One has to give Common University Entrance Test to enter into Maitreyi College, University of Delhi and one has to crack the merit of this college to join this institute and you can find the application form from the official website of cuet and then fill application form for University of Delhi from their official website. One can apply for reservation too for sports and extra curricular as well. While talking about the difficulty level it is moderate.

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.
