Campus could be better, not as good as other IITs.
But I generally dont go to class , so better LTs would not have really helped me

Course Curriculum Overview :

CSE in IITs is the most coveted branch. I preferred CSE in IIT BHU than Electrical or Mnc in other top IITs. THe benefits of taking CSE are that there is a lot of scope in this field and you can easily get a job later. The courses in IIT BHU are comparatively easier when compared to other IITs, which gives you a lot of time to explore other stuff also and it is better cause you are able to enjoy your college life given the fact you have already struggled for 2 years already to get into IIT. We have mid-sems and then end-sems, which do get quite tough sometimes because of the fact that most of the study is done one week before the paper only. If you study throughout the sem, then its easy peasy.

Class Size : 150Course Fees : INR 230000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements are good bro, thats why people come to IIT BHU. Avg of 23 lpa this year for whole college, much better in CSE obviously, right now i dont know how much. Almost everyone gets placed here, companies offering lower than 7 lpa are notn allowed. HIghest was 1.68 cr in CSE in NK Securities

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees depend on your quota, for general candidates it is 1.25 lac per sem including hostel/mess, but if you show your income to be less than 5 lac per annum then you have to pay somewhere around half. For SC-ST candidates, it is just 30000 per annum.

Campus Life :

Kashiyatra - Cultural fest - January Technex - techno management - March Spardha - Sports- October. There are all sports facilities available on campus. U can play anything you want, there are coaches also. There are all sorts of clubs Club of Programmers, Business, E-Cell, Music, Quant,etc

Hostel Facilities :

I shared a room with 2 other guys in first year and it is similar in 2nd year, mess food is fine. Mess fee is 15000 per sem. We are provided LAN port in room which is good, wifi is not good in some rooms because router is far away. The room was small in first year but it does not really matter because u have a lot of fun

Hostel Fee : INR 15000 per year

Admission :

I had to give JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced. I secured AIR 805 in JEE advanced 2022 which helped me secure admission in CSE program of IIT BHU. If you are a general candidate student, you required an under 1000 rank in JEE Advanced.The cut-off for my year was AIR 897 as much as I remember. JEE Advanced is the most common exam and it requires a lot of preparation, 2 years for me.

4the year students are eligible to sit for the placements. Placements here are not so good frankly speaking and one who wants a good placement needs to apply for off campus placements. Placement Experience:

The students can start applying for college placements from 7th semester onwards. Various companies visit for placement opportunities. The highest package was 24L for one year. The percentage of students getting college placements is very low considering the competition in this field. My plans are to join the army, but keeping the engeneering field as a backup.
