- Greenery: I liked how the campus was planned with so much space between buildings and so much lush greenery which gives you a positive peace of mind.

- We did not have much freedom to choose our elective subjects in the last semester.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose ECE branch because its curriculum consisted of both core and IT subjects. In today's digital age I believe one needs to have sufficient knowledge of both hardware and software if he/she is to excel in his/her career in the tech domain. The subjects taught in our course do give us the conceptual clarity of the theoretical part but practical subjects can be improved. Exams consist of a mid-term and end-tern every semester and there can also be periodic tests and quiz along with assignments for the internal assessment part. Exams are comparatively easy and if you prepare a week before the exams provided you have all the class notes you can easily score good marks.
Placement Experience :
The placements are decent but it also depends on the economic conditions of that year. Placement season begins from 7th semester. Many reputed MNCs like Google and Amazon do visit our campus but they hire very few people. Apart from them more reputed firms like Oracle, TCS, PhonePe, Infosys, Amdocs, etc also visit the campus but the number of people they hire does not remain the same. Our batch in particular had one of the worst placement seasons because of the recession. Generally the overall percantage of placed students used to be almost above 90 but it is struggling to reach even 70 this year. So there are oppurtunities but dont think that there is any guarantee you will be having a job offer at the end of your degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is divided into three sections depending on the family income of the students. Those with income above 5 lakhs per annum have to pay the full fees, those below 5 lakhs but above 1 lakh per annum must pay 1/3rd of the tuition fees along with the other fees and those with income below 1 lakh per annum are exempted from laying the tution fees. Along with this the SC/ST category students are also exempted from paying tution fees. The average fees per semester comes to around 73k for the first category, 25k for the 2nd category and 8k for the third category.
Campus Life :
Campus is pretty big with a lot of greenery around. The hostels may vary as 1st and 3rd year students are alloted the recently built RNT hostels while the 2nd and 4th years are given the old Aryabhatta hostels. There is separate mess for northern and southern food so students can choose accordingly. I believe the circuital branches have the best buildings in the campus as compared to the other branches as they are fairly new. In terms of food canteens you will not find any air conditioned restaurants in the campus but there are many small shops which serve good quality food. Clubs are an integral part of the campus life and you will always find SAC block teeming with activity most of the time. Its the place where most of the clubs gather. We have a dance club, music club, photography club, robotics club and even an aviation club called Anima. The annual college fest is called MOKSHA and apart from that there is also a tech fest conducted annually.
Admission :
The admission was done through jee mains scores. After the result of jee mains 2020 the counselling was done through JOSAA website where we had to choose the college and stream of our choice. There were a total of 6 rounds. I was allotted NIT AGARTALA ECE in the 2nd round.
