- The location of NIT AGARTALA is not good from my experience. The city is about 20-24 kms away from institute.
- The professors are not up to mark. Around 90-95% professors there are from locals.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am from mechanical engineering department 2024 passout. I got this branch through jee mains 2020. I am interested in mechanical world problems and quite interest in mechanics in my jee preparation that's why chose this branch. There are total 8 smeseter in which total 16 exams are getting conducted in 4 years. The course curriculum includes in each semester approx 6 theory subjects and 5 labs examination are there in this college.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes you can get many internship opportunities from college if you are from circuital branches like CSE ESE EE and EIE. Besides these branches other branches like mechanical, civil, chemical students have to look for other internships or online internship.
Placement Experience :
From 7th semester students are getting offered for college placements. There are total 300-400 companies visit in our college and make around 600-700 offers. I got placed in ORC ENGINEERING having a LPA of 2.5-3.5 . The highest package of 2024 year is round 40 lakhs and average package is roughly around 5 LPA. Around Total 60% students placed this year. My next plan is to prepare for gate exams along with my jobs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee of this institute is 62500 per semester. And other fees togther makes around 70000-75000. The complete cost of education (tuition fee+ mess+ hostel) is around 8 lakhs for general candidate without any fees remission. Also scholarship facilities are given to the selected students.
Campus Life :
Mine Overall experience is average as i did my first and second year in online mode due to covid. I got to join the institute physically in 2nd year 2nd semester. There are 2 annual festivals celebrated every year. One is cultural fest called as MOKSHA and other is technical fest called as "AAYAAM". The Library facilities are too good . I loved this part of NIT AGARTALA. Almost mostly books are available in Library. Sports facilities are too good. Students are participating in inter-nit sports. There are many clubs in NIT AGARTALA like literacy club, Anima club, Robotics club, Malhar club and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are quite good. The first and second year students are getting rooms in share basis means 2 students in one room. From 3rd year single student single room facilities are available. Mess food are average. But cleanessses issue is there. Registration process for hostel is quite easy. You have to take a form from hostel and fill and submit to your hostel supervisor. Locality is not good if you rented a room or PG. I don't suggest you to rent a room. Hostel facilities are best as respect to fees they are charging.
Admission :
It is a 4 years course Takes part in jossa/ csab counselling and you got seats in NIT AGARTALA Yes if you are from EWS, OBC (NCL), SC/ST then you got a chance in reservation benefits. The duration of each semester is 4 months during which there is mid-term and end-term exams are being conducted. The level of exams is quite easy. You can easily get high marks if you are sincere in class and make notes of professors.
Faculty :
There are around 65 students in a single section of a class. The classroom is of old fashioned. Neither the classroom is equipped with air-conditioned or the bench-desk is of old fashioned. The quality of the education, professors of this institution provide not matches with national level.
