INSIDE MNIT-the reality

Dislikes

  • There is very less senior interaction especially in branches like cse and ece
  • The coding culture is mnit is almost nonexistent and very underwhelming..if you want to do anything you have to do it alone

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum for ai and data engineering is really great aa the branch is newly introduced and the syllabus is freshly made with keepind mind of tadays needs and technologies. The syllabus is well divided into semesters and gradually keeps introducing you to new and better stuff

Internships Opportunities :

Summer internships are provided in the college and also full semester internships are allowed to students with more than 8cg Not many students get a on campus internships and many of them opt for off campus interships usually Companies like nvidia, salesforce provide internships programmes with stipends ranging from 10000-40000 rupees..other than this the college does not provide much data about the summer internship programmes

Placement Experience :

Campus placements starts by the end of third year..a number of big companies visit and provide good placements Companies like apple adobe airtel amazon etc visit for tech placements also companoes like GAIL and tata steel visit for core branch plaements Maximum package in 22-23 season was 54lpa while the average for ug was around 13lpa Around 806 were registered for the placements and about 657 were so placed(82%) I personally plan to sit in the placements and get placed for more than 30 lpa and maybe pursuee a masters degree after ive had some work experience

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The detailed fee steucture is uploaded on the mnit website The tution fee structure is defined by your family income 1)families below 1 lakh per annum pay around 16500 per semester 2)families below 5 lakh per annum pay around 34000 per semester 3)families with 5 lakh per annum pay around 65000 per annum Also there is a fixed hostel and mess fee around 40000 Mnit uploads the fee hike if any on their website but there arent any significant fee hikes usually It would cost you about 1500000 in total if you're a general student with everything included Mnit provided many student to students from financially weaker sections and as well as reserved category student.these can be seen on the mnit website and can be applied form there. There are no campus emplyment facilites in mnit

Campus Life :

The overall campus experience is great.. We have two fests here very year..blitzschlag in the month of february,it is the cultural fest and sphinx in the month of november it is the tech fest and there are various big artists coming every year. There is great library in the campus with mang books and journal and we also have study area there with ac The classrooms are great with acs and projectors..the lecture complex is the largest in asia There are two sports tournament held in mnit..inter nits and mst(malaviya sports tournament),other than that we do have a good basketball team and other sports are also encouraged There are groups like levelX and mcsquare which are student owned..they are dance clubs and they do get funded by the college

Hostel Facilities :

In the first year triple seater rooms are alloted and after that you get single seater rooms..the rooms are pretty decent with cupboards fans and a table-chair that you get.washrooms are shared and frequently cleaned Meal quality is not very good and the menu gets very repetitive after a point and also dont expect must taste from the mess food Registrations for the hostel can be done easily on the mniterp website once you get the access The hostels are affordable..the fee for hostel+mess is around 40000 for everyone

Admission :

The admission process was very smooth..although the website that they have for it is really old and tough to use..everything about the process is released in a brochure after you've been alloted a seat in mnit through josaa or csab

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I am studying right now is biomedical engineering, this course is not that famous among engineering students, but this course a lot of power, it is different from any other engineering courses, I found this course very interesting and in the upcoming years this course is gonna be a masterpiece says my teachers. The curriculum certainly helds a lot of workshops which help students interact with the teachers and each other and increase there communication skill and analytical thinking, they give students the opportunity to organise the events to boost up there confidence and prepare them for real world. I would suggest to introduce more interdisciplinary courses such as data science with humanities or environmental science with policy studies. The frequency is like there are 2 continuous assessment per semester and end semester examination at the end of the semester, I think it's quite good the internal assessment helps learn the difficulty of the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this because the Curriculum is well curated with the latest technological advancements as well as industry standards. They usually take unit test based examination once in a month to test the performance of the students.

JECRC provides a lot of opportunities but it is totally us how we grab those opportunities. This year over 2000+ students got campus placements and the companies who took our students were Amazon, Cisco ISRO TCS, etc. Many students were placed in Amazon with 44 LPA which was a great achievement for JECRC.
