Course Curriculum Overview :
Diverse curriculum consisting of preparing 2 Research Papers every semester, updated subjects like HR Analytics makes made my mind to go for this course. Curriculum focusses theory as well as practical aspect of the subjects, which makes you ready for its application in the real time world and industry scenarios. Business Case study discussions develops holistic thinking process in students. Most of the faculties are leading professionals in their respective fields , their knowledge and experience helps us to become a great professionals. Subject odf Yoga and Meditation allows us to work on our Mental Health and helps in increased concentration level. Exams are conducted every semester. Each year has 2 semesters and Each Semester has 10 subjects including 2 Seminar Papers.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like HDFC Ergo, Aditya Birla, vedanta, HPCL, UPI, Adani, KPMG, NPCI, Mercer, Godrej comes for Summer internship. As per report average stipensed offered is Rs. 62,700 while highest package offered was Rs. 2,12,000. Companies from Manufacturing, IT, Consulting , BFSI and services visit campus. Roles offered are TA, Policy Framing, L&D, HRBP , Diversity and Inclusion, HRIS , HR Analytics and many more
Placement Experience :
After completing first year students are eligible for final placements. Companies Start coming from the month of August -September. Many companies also offer PPO based on the performance of Summer Internship. Companies like Aditya Birla, HDFC Ergo, Mahindra n Mahindra, Vedanta, KPMG, Godrej, Mercer, Tata Capital, DXC Technology and many more visits the campus for palcement. For 2023 , highest package offered was Rs. 26,00,000 , Average was Rs. 19,00,000 and Median was Rs. 18,00,000. College has almost 100% placement. After completing my masters degree, I will start working in the field of Human Resources after accepting the placement offer.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Total fee for 1 year is Rs. 3,55,000 which consists of Library Deposite of Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000 as caution fees. Library deposite is refundable. Hike in the fees structure takes place as per the University Rules. For 2 years total fees will be Rs 7,10,000. In college you get Summer Internship Opportunities , Live project opportunities apart from final placement.
Campus Life :
My journey in JBIMS so far has been a very enriching experience. We get opportunities to paricipate in various case competitions and involves lot of learnings. College has huge libraray with thousands of books on each n every aspect of the management studies and even extra curricular topics. Leading magazines and daily newspapers are made available to us. We have access of all the research papers and journals on our ID. We also get opportunity to parcipate in community intiatives. Our batch got chance to work with MENDONSA Foundation to create awareness about Eye Health among School Going Children through "Walk for your Eye" campaign. CSR club of college have recently conducted drive for Stem Cells. clubs and teams like Catalyst Forum, Marketing club, PR commitee, Induction commitee, Student administration committee, Placement commitee are of vital importance.
Admission :
To apply for MHRD course in JBIMS, basic eligibility criteria is that you should have comleted your graduation or must be in the final year of your graduation ( at the time of admission you should have degree with you). Updates about the aadmission process are publishe on the college website and applications are invited ( Tentatively April-May) Application fees is Rs.1500. Reservation for every category is available as per the government rules. Admission process for MHRD course in JBIMS takes place in 3 stages 1. JBIMS's Entrance Test / CET/ CAT 2. GD 3. Personal Interview Difficulty level of JBIMS entrance test is lesser than the CET or CAT. It consist of Quant, LR, GK, Decision Making section. You can apply through any of the exam and on the basis of your score, candidates are shortlisted for GDPI round. From shortlisted candidates final selection is done after WAT and GDPI round. Improvement: Instead of only GD, can think of giving case study or any other group activity.
Interview Experience :
For GD each group is given 2 topics and have to go for any one of them. For my group first topic was, G20 Summit and Impact on India and the second topic was Layooffs done by large organisations in recent time. My interview was mostly based on my CV and lot of questions were asked about my industry experience. Some questions were opinion based and thought provoking, checking your presence of mind and critical thinking ability. Mostly GD topics are based on current news and events only. Newspaper reading and articles on HR practices helped to prepare for my GD. For Personal Interview, I had prepared on potrntial questions which can be askked based on my CV. For WAT, Writeen Ability Test, one topic is given and you have to write about it in 10 min.
