Course Curriculum Overview :

Post graduation in diploma is a very extensive and updated course which every B school offers these days because this course is widely accepted and has a lot of weightage when it comes to learning , this course consist of case study analysis and give practical industrial exposure to students when it comes to real world. Improvement can be that more industrial visits and more internship period should be given so that student learns better and can become more optimistic when final placement comes. The exams happen in an interval of 1month and the difficulty level is average and student gets to learn a lot.

Internships Opportunities :

Deloitte is one of the most eye catching company when it comes to internship and they give stipend upto 25k per month. And the project and exposure they offer is US taxation as per GAAP standards. Other recent eye catcher is Grant Thornton which is new to our college and they offer all the domains be it marketing , finance, analytics and HR and they also offer for final placement.

Placement Experience :

So from semester 5 you will be eligible for final placement. And the companies that the college offer is Deloitte, Bajaj capital, GrantThornton, BlackRock and blackstone. So all these college provide a very good opportunities to students The highest package is around 32 lac at present and the % of student being placed is roughly around 80%. My plan after getting degree is to join a good MNC like Deloitte and work in the field of finance and analytics.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of this course in my college is upto 8.5 lakh for general PGDM and 10 lakh for PGDM in international business. The college is open to student loan wherein they connect with banks and for cuting the payment on regular interval . So overall the process is easy. The scholarship is offered to student giving MAT and CAT exam and if they score above 75% then the around 10% scholarship is given and it may vary every season. Talking about campus placement I have been offered internahip with Deloitte for US taxation profile and companies like BCG Matrix, BlackRock, loreal , Bajaj capital give good exposure to students and even hire them in final placement. And for every specialisation the college offers a wide variety of companies to have a good exposure and learn how corporate works during internship so that student can be very well prepared for final placement.

Campus Life :

My overall campus life by far has been intriguing with a lot of learnings and real life experience. I have been going to inter campus competyas my college gave this wxposure and opportunity to me . And through case studies and research papers I have learned a lot in this journey , from being an introvert to being an extrovert my journey has been full of excitement wherein I met a lot of knowledgeable and fresh talent and have learned a lot from them and the faculties. I am also Vice president of inter institution club through which I learned how to manage an event and also networking with other people from other colleges have given me a competitive edge from others.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilty is fine as I share my room with 1 more student and the security is overall flexible in my hostel , the facilites that they promised is not so apt and I feel like I am spending a lot when it comes to food and stay as my hostel food is not that good and the food menu is also fix and not that afgordable as I can get a good deal outside. But the locality is very good and South delhi is one of the most safest place and the nearby areas have a lot of facilities available.

Admission :

For studying in JIMS Kalkaji you can get the form online through their official portal and eligibility is that you have to be graduate. Appication fees is 1000Rs. And application dates are felxible.Regarding reservations the college accept students who gave any competitive exam for PGDM course and last dates are as per the college site which mainly is in end of July. The difficulty level of exam is average. And personally talking about my admission ,it was quite smooth and the faculty was also very knowledgeable and friendly. And I am very grateful to study in this college as each day I am learning a lot and growing.

Interview Experience :

For admission I faced Group discussion wherein I got a basic topic related to prevailing market condition. And topics like women empowerment, GDP , AI boon or Bane and role of EV in India is given where students overall market knowledge is being judged. I prepared fot this round by daily reading newspaper as it helped me a lot to be connected with current maket scenario.

Placement Experience:

You're eligible for the campus placement from semester 3. I got a placement in a few companies like policy bazaar and Barclays but the salary is quite low offered by the companies. I opted for none of these companies and interviewed for many companies after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to do MBA as I did Bachelor's in business management from the same college and the next best alternative for me was to do a master's in the same field as it will give me enough good opportunities and specialization in the marketing field which I always wanted to pursue too. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. scholars and have great experience and knowledge. Though the teaching style of every teacher differs from one another. There is a total of 3 CES, 2 internals, and 1 external for each subject and we have 5 subjects in total.

Placement Experience:

Placement system is not like getting placement in a week time i.e. there is no concept of placement week here. But companies keep on coming throughout the year. Students generally get placed by the month of February. A number of companies like HUL, Bajaj, Wipro, TATA, ICICI, HDFC, etc visit the campus to recruit students. The package can go as high as 24 lacs for few companies, while the average is 10 lac generally.

Remarks:

Delhi school of economics(DSE) is one of the best B schools in Delhi. We compete with B schools such as imt Ghaziabad and few baby IIMS. The faculties are amazing and the college is located close to my home. Placements are consistent, averaging at around 11 lakhs.

And the SIPs like only sales profile are coming. You have to sale like insurance, debit card credit card stock. You have to call some other people like cold calling etc. The stipend is performance based. 1000 or Max to Max 6000.
