Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is designed very practically to give students knowledge of all areas of management. It's not just a HR course. Also, industry experts themselves come to teach these subjects like Perspective Management, Marketing, Statistics, etc. The teaching methodology is amazing with more focus on case studies and and industry examples discussions. Also, a lot of presentations and reports for self understanding of the subjects.
Internships Opportunities :
Students are offered roles like HR intern, Comp and Ben Intern, General Management, etc. All the major brands visit campus. The details are mentioned in the placement reports on website and LinkedIn page.
Placement Experience :
Being a member of the placements committee, I can't disclose any details. But the reports are available on the website and Linkedin. You can check it. Highest: 26 LPA for MHRD and average 18 LPA and median 17.6 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee is approx INR 700000 for 2 year MHRD program. There is no freeship or scholarship as of now for this program at JBIMS. However, students can apply for various Alumni and other scholarships available in the college. It's a student-driven college, therefore placements activity is also carried out by placement committee.
Campus Life :
Being honest, it's a government college so don't expect fancy infrastructure. Basic amenities are there on the campus. The library is the best place with a great collection of books. It has a brand value and legacy so infra really doesn't matter once you are in. There are various clubs like CSR, PR, Placements, Catylst, etc on the campus wich you can join according to your interest.
Admission :
The admission process was quite swift. They considered CET score for shortlisting candidates and also JBIMS has its own entrance test. I did not appear as it was optional. Post shortlisting, we received calls for WAT, GD and PI. The entire process was conducted in a single day. The application link is usually available on the JBIMS website and LinkedIn page after CET exam. The college should start considering CAT scores as well for the admissions. Also, even though the name suggests that its a Master's in Human Resource Development, but actually its a management course with all the subjects of management in 2-year curriculum.
Interview Experience :
My topic for GD was Mental Health and wellbeing at the workplace. And interview was completely profile based on my CV. A few questions like Why HR? Why JBIMS? You should be prepared well with your answers and confidence is the key.
