Remarks :
the college is really good in every aspect, but as the saying goes not everything is perfect so the college needs to improve its communication among the students and also the teacher and student interaction should be more after the class.
Entrance Preview :
I appeared for iit jee and upseet and scored 78 and 350 marks respectively. i choose Chandigarh university because of its great infrastructure and quality education.here u are provided with basic to high-level education with practical and theoretical classes periodically.
Course Curriculum Overview :
here at cu we get the best education. being from mechanical department we get to know about machines and basic workshop skills like welding, carpentery, etc. we are also given ample opportunities to present our ideas and get them patented if approved by the ipr cell in the university itself.
Internships Opportunities :
the college itself doesn't provide internship but allows us to intern at any company of our choice and learn different things.
Placement Experience :
in the current year, the maximum placement offered was 35 lakhs by Amazon to a CSE student. cse student gets around 4 lakh minimum package whereas overall package for all the branches lies between 3 to 8 lakhs.management department was offered 18 lakhs this time.
College Events :
for Freshers aaghaz is organised then there are tech fest cu fest is also there many celebrities come and visit the university for there movie promotions like katrina kaif, Siddharth malhotra,farhaan akthar,nawaz etc,its really fun at this university
Fee Structure And Facilities :
the fee structure varies from course to course,the course fee is feasible around 70k per semester for mechanical department.also you are provided with different scholarships if u can't afford to fill the college fee,loans are also provided with ease to facilitate the students in a better way.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
there are many scholarships. army scholarships. meritorious students scholarships category scholarships i myself availed army scholarships of 10% in academic fee.loans are also easily available at sbi branch at university itself.
Campus Life :
the total strength of students will be around 30k in which 18-20k are boys and rest are girls. you get all the sports facilities, library facilities till late at night.many foreign students also study here and no discrimination is done to them and they are treats like a whole family.
Hostel Facilities :
i myself was a hosteller and the food is good and hygienic,the staff is good and wears all the hygenic stuff to keep food clean. different varieties of food are provided according to the weather and climate. the hostel has ac ducts and they come in different varieties like 2 seater 3 seater 4 seaters 5 seater etc.geaser is also provided in winters. the hostel has ample of vacancies so no need to panic u will get hostel if u don't apply too late,in case id u miss hostel ,og rent is not too costly but i would suggest u to apply for hostel during admission time
Alumni/Alumna :
seniors are really helpful, they provide u with daily life solutions and also tell u what to do and what not to do at the university, also we get to work with seniors in their projects.i m myself working with one of my senior in 3rd year on a major project.
Exam Structure :
exams are conducted with ease, not too much burden is given to students,u are required to report half an hour before the exams start. the exams last for 3 hours in which u are given 15 minutes reading time and 15 minutes for filling up the form. as the halftime is over u can submit your paper and leave if u have completed the paper.
Admission :
i appeared for the cusat exam which is a basic exam to attain scholarship.i got admission notification in april when one of my friend told me that the admission are open.i visited the university on 6th august 2017 and did all the admission procedure by the end of 8th august with hoste accommodation and all the basic things. Administration is really helpful and let's u know each and everything about the university in detail.
