Course Curriculum Overview :
One was the introduction of AI and Machine Learning Course in Btech meant the college was moving with time and the our HOD, Supratim Biswas is from IIT Bombay meaning we have a great guidance from the top and most of the professors as dedicated to their work and want students to actually learn rather than just passing. The Administration at times doesn't co-operate with CSE Dept which could improve the quality a lot and help the college rise to its old glory. Our HPD is really working on changing the curriculum so students learn more of real life application in computer engineering and gain more experience when they leave from here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Hostel cost about 25000 each semester but we know how the food is everywhere in hostels, but my hostel 7 manages to improve. They have g p birla scholarship and most of it goes to reserved class and castes, general is at a great disadvantage regarding this. They do assess research and have great research facilities as well as stipend for assistant researcher.
Campus Life :
We have a lot of hackathon and Workshops all year round, its always busy and ther is always something new upcoming for everyone to participate into. We have 3 main fest Patheon - our tech fest my personal favourite and is very well organised even Student from iit Kharagpur and iiit and nit come to participate and visit and it very fruitful. We have Cultural fest Bitosav they have great Dj, events tresure hunts musical events, drama and alot of engaging events and lastly the Sports Fest that is one of the most competitive fests everyone likes to cheer their hostel, their is this inter hostel vibe that is good and motivating.
Admission :
It was difficult and tedious. The Jee exam was hectic and as a student from Uttar Pradesh we had harder cut off than other states, our state cut off was same as all india rank cut off. I didn't plan on coming here, I heard from a mathematician retured living in Lucknow, about Bit mesra and its glorious days back in the day and how it still produces good result. You could find all the details on NTA website, I prepared using PhysicsWallah and it helped alot considering my Jee percentile went from 88% TO ABOUT 98.9% in Jee Mains. The could improve my level the playing field like in Jharkhand here I see usually large amount of locals in college meaning high state qoute, even my state as big as it is, doesn't have such big quota.
