Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the PGDM course because it considers the latest business trends during class learning. The learnings from the experienced faculty and diverse batch of students stand out from the rest. Teaching methodology is unique in the sense that you don't need to mug-up the syllabus a night before the exam, just listening the teachings of faculty and paying attention in the class is enough for the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
The institute provides internship opportunities in various organisational functions. Companies visit for different roles across finance, sales, marketing, research and other areas as well. Students can apply for any of the functional area of their interest.
Placement Experience :
The institute provides placement opportunities from term 1 itself. For first-year students, companies come for internships and some companies even provide PPO opportunities. Full-time placements start from term 3. Companies such as Crisil, PayPal, BNY, JPMC, Wells Fargo, ITC, MMT, and ICICI Bank visit for placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In the fee structure of ?20 lakhs, all expenses such as Tuition and academic fees, hostel, mess food, electricity, and water costs are included. The scholarship is not provided for PGDM students. The institute has several partner banks which offer financial assistance at lucrative interest rates.
Campus Life :
Campus life is amazing. Though the campus is situated far away from the main city, you still can have fun on the campus itself. The library has a variety of books for students with diverse interests. The classroom is air-conditioned with assigned seating for every student.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are very spacious for twin-sharing accommodation. All rooms are air-conditioned with proper ventilation. Mess food is amazing, unlike mess food in other institutes. Variety, taste and hygiene are maintained every time and at each meal.
Admission :
Great Lakes considers various national exam scores. They take scores of CAT, XAT, CMAT & GMAT. A safe percentile score of minimum 85% in CAT and XAT can better your chance for admission in GLIM. You can expect to get admission call if you get 97%+ in CMAT and scored 650+ in GMAT.
