NSUT East Campus Honest Review

Dislikes

  • Due to the attendance policy, it is difficult to maintain.
  • Classrooms doesn't have AC's which creates humidity in a class of 60 students in summers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason for me to choose this course is the interest of programming and computer related things. The faculty student ratio is around 1:50. Most of the faculty has a degree in M.tech from good Govt colleges and some are pursuing their Phd. The teaching method is old and conventional for some faculty and some teachers uses the new resources available in the classroom. The exams were in the gap of 2 months and were moderate to pass.

Placement Experience :

The college placements are held with main campus ie in Dwarka Sec 3. Students from 5 semester are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies visit the campus for placement like facebook, apple, amazon, netflix etc. The highest package was 1.6 Crores and the average package was of 16 lakhs. The placement rate was 85 %. I will try to get a Job in a MNC

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of the college is 206000. The scholarship opportunities is very good as there are several scholarships based on the categories, like reserved categories, defence, single child and many other. The internship opportunities of the college held with the main campus where the interview is taken in the main campus and a student with good cgpa and skills can crack the internship with a stipened of 70000 inr

Campus Life :

The college have many social clubs like crescendo, devcomm, IEE and many other cultural and tech clubs. The infrastructure of the college is good and maintained. The college seperately doesn't have any fest but the main campus have Moksha and Resonance that are the cultural and tech fest of the college. The college library is good and have almost books of all the authors. The classrooms are clean have smartboard and good desk but no AC's. There is cricket ground, sports room and a basket ball court.

Admission :

To take admission in the college you have to appear for JEE Mains Paper 1 exam that is conducted by NTA. Eligiblity of the college is 60 % in 12 boards aggeregate. After giving JEE Mains you have to apply for JAC Counselling that is generally held after JEE Session 2 around the month of August. The Application fees for the Application form is 1500 INR. The Admission process is very smooth and systematic

Placement Experience:

Placements at DTU are good, even in core branches, but students must have the necessary skills. At DTU, over 300 companies visit, offering decent packages. The highest packages can reach crores (of course, these are international packages). Some students also prefer to pursue master's degrees or MBAs after their degree. From the third year, students are eligible for on-campus internship opportunities, and in the fourth year, they are eligible for placements. It is definitely beneficial, but you must have skills and knowledge of your subjects. Strong communication skills are also essential.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn coding and that's why i chose btech in computer science at igdtuw. the curriculum is not designed from the perspective of preparing you for real-world application, instead it solely depends on what should be taught at a university based on the branch. the area of improvement could be removing the unrelated subjects in the first year of engineering because no one actually learns anything from that and instead, there should be related subjects. exams are held twice a semester, making it four times a year

The college provides internship opportunities as well and it gets started from the beginning of 3 Rd year of students, students in their 2 nd year also got internship opportunities. so almost all students get placed and if someone still does not get any placement so they have the opportunity to do higher study in Mtech. The college provides higher study options to students, this includes Mtech and Ph.D. courses and many more. So you can go to this college.

From the end of the 4th sem and starting of the 5th sem students can get internships easily they are eligible for placement just after the 3rd year many students get placement in the same companies they are interning in. Many companies visit the campus to take interviews n every year and give many offers to the students. The last highest offer was around 1.2 crores Nd average is around 25-30lakhs. From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Major companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Swiggy, Sprinkler, Blackstone etc. A few years back,8 students from NSUT got a staggering package of 1.25 Crore from Google. The average package for tech branches is around 17-18 lakhs per annum. In tech branches, it has a humbling record of 100 percent placements approximately. As of now, I'll like to do my master from abroad after completing BTech from NSUT
