In our hostel the rooms are not so big and not suitable for living 4 students together .

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose the branch of the college as the average packege of my department is high(8.5 lakh).Also the campus is very big and beautiful and full of trees which is very important for our mental growth. The trachers are very helpful in our studies. Jee main is a very difficult exam in India.

Class Size : 94Course Fees : INR 142000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Tatasteel, Coallndia, PWC are some of the companies which give internship and they give good amount of stipend to students based on their qualities. Afterthat they get many projects which they do and if they perform well they get PPO offers companies.

Placement Experience :

From 7th semester students become eligible for placement .Google , Microsoft, Wipro, Vedanta, Uber are some companies which visit our college for placement . About 80 % students get placement in those companies.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I am from the family with annual income 48000 . So I have to pay Rs 5500 in every semester. There are also some scholarship to support our financial problem . I get Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum scholarship which is very helpful for me.

Campus Life :

REBECA is the great annual fest in IIEST,Shibpur. In the library there are available books related to every branches of engineering . In the college campus there are a volleyball court ,a basketball court , and two big ground.

Hostel Facilities :

In every room of our hostel there live 4 students together. In our hostel we get meal for 3 times everyday. On the day of physical reporting in our college after the completion of admission process I registered for hostel.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

To take admission in IIEST Shibpur one have to gain a very good rank in JEE Main examination. After the publication of jee main examination I participated in JOSAA counselling . I took admission on 17 august ,2023.

IIT KGP is amazing!!

Placement Experience:

Students are prepared for placements right from the third semester. Indusrrial training is provided to us and engineering industries like L&T, Bhel, IRS and HAL among others which are in full swing are among the colleges that hires IIT KGP students with an average package of no less than 15-18 lakhs yearly.

IIT Kharagpur : A very well executed institution which helps the students grow and excel in life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods. Exams are scheduledd but may prove to need extra assistane for comprehension of some of the contents.

The students get eligible at 3rd year 6th sem. Though before that you can do internship or freelancing which will increase the weight of your profile. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is not that different from other colleges. At the beginning or 1 st semester we are made to complete the bridge course which basically includes stuff we read in classes 11 and 12. But then also they can't teach properly the already read topics.
