Remarks :

The college is good bt it has bad infrastructure and lack of well equipped and airy rooms and labs. If first class infrastructure is provided it will help in bringing out the good in the students.

Entrance Preview :

No entrance exam was conducted. The admissions were based on our 12th board percentage. Further no interview was conducted. I was a non-medical student. From the very beginning i had my interest in chemistry. So I had taken the coarse. I am currently doing Bsc in chemistry as a major subject.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The coarse was definitely good. But due to lack of facilities in the college practical learning it lags behind. No research initiatives were taken by the institute. English as a subject was elective option other than compulsory subjects chemistry, physics and mathematics.

Internships Opportunities :

No the college don't provide any internship. The average spent amount was Rs Fifty thousands. But the amount we spend is almost alright because the government is paying attention to the education standards in the state.

Placement Experience :

The placement scenario is by the university for students having percentage of above 75%.i.e 7.5 ranking is required to get placement in the state eligibility jobs.

College Events :

No such events were organised. But they were organised on university level like youth exchange programs, talent hunt competition etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure was fine as it was a government college. Per semester Rs 2400 and further 1200 for filling university examination forms.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The scholarship were provided by the HPU Shimla by the state government. But no help was done for providing loans to us.

Campus Life :

Inter college talent competitions for exploring talents of both students and faculty are hosted by the university.

Hostel Facilities :

Basically the college have hostel facility but due to improper mess service i have taken up PG. We are two roommates. I have to pay Rs 4000 to the pg owners for food + stay + cleaning clothes to me. But the food is not good.

Alumni/Alumna :

The interactions were alright .The college provide a platform for the interactions and they contribute to annual income of college.

Exam Structure :

Yes exam and labs make us feel tired till the end of day. This is due to insufficient facilities like not comfortable sitting arrangements, tidy roomsand lack of practical equipments.

Faculty :

The faculty was well experienced but due to lack of basic facilities and infrastructure more focus on cramming was given than the practical knowledge. They are quite interactive with students butno completely. They have almost good standard of teaching as they became friendly with us.

Remarks:

I choose this college because it is a good government college in our area. My brother and sister have previously studied here and they are doing good today, so they suggested me to go in this college.

Placement Experience:

The placements here is not good or there are no placements you can say. The students have to arrange the jobs on their own or giving any exam to get the job. If you are good and talented, you can get placements on your own.

College does not have a good playground and in the winters like shimla heaters should be fixed in classrooms. The campus of the college is good. Checking of identity cars is a positive point of the college.

Currently no placements are being done from our campus. Some plywood and paper industrialists visit our college and provide employment to some students rest have to fight for competitive exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not that much... Strict focus on practical learning. Research initiatives are also taken in tours and not much burden is given.
