Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because of the potential of electrical engineering. Nowadays EV are emerging so it might become a trend later on. Faculties are friendly and confident about their subjects..most of them are hardworking. i think there are 60+ faculties and 450 students. Exams are conducted reegularly nowadays..semester exams are 6 times a month and series exams are conducted 2 times in 5 months. And class tests are conducted in every month. It's not difficult to pass..it's very easy to pass if you're investing time for the exams every day.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The internship companies are changing throughout so i can't name any..but department HODs often find great internships and give it to students. I haven't done internships but most of them are littile to no effort.. I'm planning to do one in may 2023

Placement Experience

2.5

from Semester7 students becomes eligible for placements. Companies like vipro visit the college every year to pick talented students. I don't know the exact package of companies but it usually around 10,000 to 15,000. Usually 70% are getting placed but some of them reject the offer and continue their studies. I personally not expecting placement.. I'm trying to study abroad after getting this degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is normal in my opinion. I got in through merit seat still i have to pay 40000 per year because it's a self financing college. You can get scholarships for low caste and also for earning high marks and cgpa.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus lifee is average. Social life is nothing special but i think i have too many good bonds there. Amazing infrastructure but the number of students are low.Annual fest, tech fest and other programs are conducted often. In terms of conducting programs SNGCET is surely one of the best i've seen.. Sports and arts activities are conducted every year..college has volleyball, handball ,football ,cricket ,kho-kho teams and also athletic meets are conducted. There is an LED manufacturing unit made by electrical students .

Admission

I took the KEAM entrance exam. It's very easy to get in if you're looking for any course other than computer science. You have to score 15 marks in both exams. I scored 91 two of them combined. The admission process was similar to every engineering college. Reservations are available mainly for SNDP and there are scholarships for students who scored good marks in their secondary education.

Other Applied Colleges

Government College of Engineering - [GCE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

The distance between college and my home is huge and I don't prefer hostel stay.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows
