Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the branch of electronics and Communication engineering (ECE) and the department teachers are well-educated and most of them have good experience in teaching. In my class(3rd year) there are 44 students and more in other years. The teaching methods are quite helpful enough to get high scores in University examinations. There will be 2 series of exams in which these scores will be considered in internal marks. They will be easy if we prepare enough.

Class Size : 44Course Fees : INR 88000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internship opportunities available in Jyothi Engineering College. Many students from different colleges across Kerala used to enroll here. I don't know exactly the details regarding the stipend offered here.

Placement Experience :

The college offers placements in every year. A placement cell is working in the college which boosts the opportunity for students. From the 6th semester onwards placement will be started. Many companies are coming for recruitment like TCS, cognizant, Qburst, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees should be paid Every semester starting. The actual fee is 44000 Rs per semester. But there are many scholarships provided by the college based on the academics of the student. It will vary with students according to their marks in +1/+2 or KEAM Entrance Examination. Many other scholarships are provided by the government.

Campus Life :

The main event in Jyothi Engineering College is the Tech fest -Tharang. Generally, they are conducted in the even semester months.Its duration is 2 days. A normal library and an open library is available.It is open for upto 7pm. The Classrooms are of normal class size which have a capacity of 60 students.

Admission :

I took admission to the management quota by filling application form provided by the college office. I was availed of a scholarship according to the rank in the Keam Examination (Kerala Engineering And Allied Medical ) examination.

Interview Experience :

There were no interviews, gd, or tests. Just submit the required documents. Generally, the admission process requires an entrance exam scorecard, 10th certificate, 12th certificate, and caste certificate if availed for any scholarships.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?.
