The overall life at PDU is awesome but campus life is not expected.

Dislikes

It is very far away from the city approximately 15 km.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are 100 students in each year. First year, second year, third year, and the final year. The total number of faculty members in PDU is 130. The qualifications of faculty members include a master's in dental surgery and BDS.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are in-campus internship opportunities as well as out-campus internship opportunities. Internship duration is 365 days compulsory in all departments. We are guided by our college faculty for an internship.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure varies every year. As of 2018, it was 160000. The fees keep on increasing every year. Students can avail of different government scholarships including EBC which helps to waive 50% of the fees, caste scholarships, etc.

Campus Life :

There are no clubs. There are multiple events like kojagiri, dandiya, annual social gatherings, and Ganesh Utsav. The infrastructure is pretty good. There are a total of 5 lecture halls that have 6 to 8 fans each. Cricket is the most celebrated sport in PDU.

Admission :

The admission process is a bit critical in terms of the various steps involved. The entrance exam was NEET. The application procedure is by filling out your preference form, in which you fill the colleges in order of your priority or preferences. The application form was supposed to be filled out online.

Modern day Dental Education

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I chose this course is because I was interested in the human body anatomy and biology. Subjects like oral surgery, radiology and general medicine are my current favourites. The curriculum prepares us for real life cases by including various examples of different patients. The practical quota is such that it requires the students to attend to the patient in real life scenarios in an actual hospital. These experiences gained in the clinics during the course help in better understanding the theory part of the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is well matched with the courses. There are practical classes which are really important for the health care field. In those classes we are actually taught the skills which we will require in our work, which will help us to treat our patients. Every skill is thought in detail and we even have practical examination which will check how much we have learnt. Life at GDC MUMBAI

Course Curriculum Overview:

BDS is the only degree where you start with specialization. You have a limited part to deal with but has diverse clinical cases. One can easily set up a clinic after BDS unlike MBBS . Remarks:

Positives: A healthy hassle free environment without any kind of ragging related issues. One of the safest colleges for Womens. Frequent placement drives from various of companies all over India. Leaves you with adequate knowledge about the subject with acceptable academics. Negatives: Not suitable if you want to enjoy the college life along with academics. Fee structure is not feasible for lower class people if appointed through management.
