- Hostel fees and hostel employees are a great headache.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course because I'm dedicated to the tech sector and a web enthusiast. The faculty-student ratio is somewhat low like we got around 1 professor per 30-35 students. Most of the professors are highly qualified but some are still practicing their PhD. The exams are generally taken timely and are evenly spread in a semester, the difficulty depends upon the professors mostly.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester. The names of the companies include only a few big names and the others are generally new startups etc. The highest package offered was 55 lakhs but it was off campus, and the average package for the IT branch was 17.69 lakhs. A total of 60 percent of students were placed. My plans are to try off-campus for placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost is definitely not reasonable as the college doesn't have its own campus and still taking up the expenses till 14 lakhs for the four years. There are no scholarships financial assistance or internship opportunities available in general, due to a lack of connections in the tech companies of the top cell in charge ( who just is the charge because of her connections ).
Campus Life :
There is no social life, and a few non-functional clubs (they just exist ). There are no tech fests yet, but this year (2023) a sports fest was held named Agnito in April. Books are available but the library is always locked. Classrooms contain all the basic amenities, but some classrooms lack projecting screens. No extracurricular activities, only some hackathons, etc. There are clubs like tech club, entrepreneur club, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The current college in which the classes are held is Sbit College, and the hostel that is used is Sbit 's hostel only, most of the students are forced to live outside due to higher hostel fees and no proper campus life. Meal quality and menu both suck in the hostels, they neither improve the quality, nor the menu items . The registration process for the hostel is chaos, as people tend to stand for hours in extreme weather while the students are provided with rooms. The students generally rent rooms in nearby towns i.e. pallor Kalan.
Admission :
Eligibility depends upon the cutoff for each branch as per josaa and csab. The application process is pretty simple, we just need to freeze the seat, then we need to fill out the form available on the official site and provide a soft copy of the original documents in the form and then we'll be officially registered. The fees are like all other IIITs i.e. between 8-9 lakhs( excluding hostel fees). Improvement is needed in the admission process, there should be more transparency of the exact processes included and proper assistance to the candidates throughout the process.
