Remarks

The college management was good and receptive about student issues. We could easily walk up to them for any kind of problems.

Entrance Preview

I sat for GGSIPU entrance exam for BJMC. My rank was 108 and though I came under Outside Delhi category (faridabad resident) .I was selected in the first counseling round itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was thorough but there werent any readymade books to follow. Our teachers used to put a lot of effort in writing notes for us after going through a lot of research. Those notes were so spot on that we used to swear by our college notebooks for external examinations as well.

Internships Opportunities

Our teachers used to give references for internships. But we used to look out for jobs and internships ourselves.

Placement Experience

1.5

There were no placements arranged by college at that point of time. We used to discuss our work of interest and talents with our teachers and they used to guide and counsel us on our career paths. Though there was no compulsory support provided it was dependent on the rapport you build with your faculty and then they used to refer you at some places. Not sure about today.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college did not provide any scholarship support when I was part of it (2005-08). Educational loans were although available from leading banks but I do not know any student that have applied for loans.

Campus Life

3.5

There were more girls than boys in our class. Students from all kinds of backgrounds be it science, commerce or arts were there. There was a WALL where students used to contribute their creative stuff be it articles, news, poems, photographs, etc. Film screening, dramatics workshops, Anugoonj event, photo walks were part and parcel of college learning.

Exam Structure

There were internal and external examinations. Practical examinations were more hectic as we had to submit our projects. For written exams we were thorough because of our interactive classroom sessions and were never really worried about it. In one semest

Course Curriculum Overview:

Journalism was first introduced in Delhi University at DCAC. The amazing faculty and a proper media studio makes Delhi College of Arts and Commerce a perfect choice for Jouranlism aspirants. The media studio has professional mics, green screen, cameras, teleprompter, switcher and other equipment required for real life learning. The classes are full-fledged, sometimes irregular. Exams are scheduled at the end of each semester. However, internal and continous assesment happen regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course intending to enter the field of journalism, but unfortunately, I found the curriculum lacking in term of real-world experience. While the teaching methods were good and the faculty did their best, the core issue laay in the syllabus itself. The curriculum was heavily theory-based, with minimal emphasis on practical training, There were no opportunities for ground reporting, feature writing, or other essential field activities like that were crucial for my career. I feel that the course did not fully equip us with the hands-on experience needed to step confidentely into industry

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course sounds very interesting and covers a large spectrum of topics. There are a total of 60 students in the class of 2024, which is further divided into two sections of 30 students each. The faculty is very well read and the classes are interactive. We have frequent debates and discussions on some very interesting topics. The exams are held semester wise every 4-5 months. The difficulty level is not much when it comes to passing the examinations.

The placement is fine in college. It is not a bulk campus placement like in most of the engineering colleges but it is pretty decent. The one who is smart and confident enough gets it. Companies provide a decent pakage to the ones who get placed.
