Remarks :

See there are both sides of it. You will enjoy your college life but ultimately the placements are a major concern. Students are trying off campus but they are not getting a package above 2.5lpa. There is a strong need to work upon skill building in students otherwise the college campus is beautiful, faculties are amazing. You learn and grow a lot.

Entrance Preview :

UPTU Entrance Exam. I got a rank of 33k in the entrance exam based on which I opted for fee waiver seat at MIT, Moradabad reason being less cost as I put up in Moradabad. Also, the placements we're decent by the time I joined back in 2013

Course Curriculum Overview :

See the reference books you need are always less in no. But it has a wide variety of options. Also, the curriculum is same as of last 10 years in engineering so there is not much change in an UPTU college. You have to work hard on your own but my branch faculties are top notch. They make you think out of the box and are very hard-working.

Internships Opportunities :

No, my college doesn't provide internship but encourage students to go in research internships in IITs and NITs during summer break.

Placement Experience :

The major problem is here. The single person is handling T&P deptt. The students don't have option but to just sit for any unknown co.s which comes to college. There is a lot of politics involved in this Department. This is the scenario in almost all nearby colleges. You have to work hard on your own to get placed otherwise your talent would get wasted in any BPO or KPO. I strongly urge you to be wise in picking up the college as the placements are of similar kind in NCR colleges as well.

College Events :

1. UTKARSH- Cultural Fest 2. Technical Fest 3. Six different branch societies holding 3-4 events every month. 4. I was a part of my branch society EESS where I got many opportunities to host and organise events. This society makes your college life more memorable.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For me it was really feasible. As for fee waiver seats we just need to pay the examination fees which was 10,000 per year so approx 40k for the whole B.Tech otherwise the fee is little bit expensive but lesser than NCR colleges. Fees is around 1.2Lakhs per year which makes it to close to 5lakhs for the B.Tech. I haven't included hostel charges in the above mentioned fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

They give decent scholarships in one year on the basis of your rank in Jee or UPTU entrance exam. They also give you scholarships on your 12th percentage. The above scholarships are just for only one year then you have to pay complete fees otherwise I would suggest go for fee waiver seat. Also, the loans are easily available.

Campus Life :

There are so many competitions going on. One learns to manage the life between academics and cultural activities. If you start participating you will have dozens of certificates in the end which makes your profile in front of panelists in interviews. There is a balance of gender in all branches except civil and mechanical.

Hostel Facilities :

The mess food is good and hostel also have facilities. Though it is not like home food but they try to bring variety and quality is not compromised. Also, the canteen is economical and there is complete market and restaurants just outside the college.

Alumni/Alumna :

My college keep the Alumnis in the loop of the activities going on and ask Alumnis to come and give guest lectures in college.I was also called upon recently and it feels so good to revisit the college and guiding our juniors. MIT has a strong Alumni network.

Exam Structure :

The examination and Labs were frequent. Teachers hold you accountable for your performance and there is strictness when it comes to attendance. You have to make projects in Labs and get some learning out from each lab. Exams are like 2 Unit Tests followed by internal semester exams and then externals ending up with practicals.

Admission :

I went with the UPTU counseling as I was having a fee waiver seat and it was a smooth process as I had all the required documents. you just need to take the form by reaching early and get things done earlier otherwise there is a lot of problem in getting your form submitted.

Faculty :

For EC branch the faculties are Hard-working, devoted and always supportive. They are highly experienced and skilled faculties and guide you throughout your life. They try to give you as much opportunities as possible and have ample knowledge in their respective fields.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. In the placement session 2020-21, a total of 340 companies visited the campus and 2280 offers were made. The average CTC offered was 5.0 LPA, the lowest CTC offered was 3.5 LPA and the highest CTC offered was 21.5 LPA, which was offered by Goldman Sachs. The profiles offered were of consulting, IT, etc. Major recruiting companies include DS Shaw, Cisco, Google, Shell, and Amazon. Almost everyone gets an internship in the 3rd year of college. Getting a dream company and a high package above 10 LPA is not impossible but you have to put in an extra effort as it is not a government engineering college. The placement cell is great and tries its best to get everyone placed. The placement percentage was almost 100% in the 2020-21 session as most of the companies participating were mass recruiters like Capgemini & Accenture. I want to continue with higher education after getting my degree if I do not get a good CTC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have my interest in dark web and cryptography and full stack developer that's why I have chosen this course. Teachers giving us a pathway to generate innovative ideas and work upon them. They are very helpful and teachers to student ratio are 1:45 for college. The teaching methodology is conceptual based and clear all of our doubts.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards students can opt for campus placements and the terms required is no back should be there and students should maintain a specific CGPA so as to be qualified for the placements. A student can sit in any amount of companies and you can even have 3-4 jobs in your hand when you end up in the placements. The companies visited are Amazon Accenture Tata Samsung and really a lot of more renowned companies. Amity has a good placement cell which works really hard to get a lot of companies into the campus for their students. The highest package as offered is 37 lacs per anum and the average package in the university is 4-5 lacs and this may also vary as per your branch and the course you have opted for. I can say nearly all students can get a job in the university in fact most of the students will end up getting jobs in mass recruiting companies while only the really hard-working students are gonna get jobs of over 10 lacs. I am looking for a good job and want to further continue.
